Her Vegas shows didn't prevent her from releasing new music and going on tour, I think some of us are being a bit overdramatic here. She loves doing these shows, they don't require an awful lot of prep, it's close to where she lives, it doesn't take time away from other things we care about.

Shame on some fan reactions. Firstly who is surprised. She loves these shows and they are also very popular and profitable for her. She can use this time to stay close to home in between any world tours. Seems like she also has lots of fun so glad she has these shows.

I have never seen Gaga so genuinely happy and in her element as when she's doing these Vegas jazz shows. She can sing whatever she wants; there is no choreo so it doesn't stress out her body; she doesn't have to travel anywhere except from her hotel to the venue; she gets to interact with a mature audience in an intimate setting; there aren't a bunch of rabid gays screaming at her; and she can wear beautiful outfits. It's probably her dream gig and I'm sure she would do it forever if she could.
