I just don’t get it. if she’s such an universally loved artist and every release of hers is such a big deal, why does she need to release remixes, discount her songs and pull all of these antics to keep her new song in top 10 after just 4 weeks of release? back in my day if a song was popular it was everywhere, that’s why it’s called a hit.

She has different variants of the SAME record. They're not different versions of the record in different variants made purely for stans to buy 50 versions to collect songs like Taylor does. Why is that so hard to grasp lmao. Add to that the fact that they're all made from recycled material. She could have easily release 25 new pressings for the slowed down and sped up version + 25 new variants with the extended mix of l'amour de ma vie on them to sell more (and we all know taylor would do that) but she only released those digitally. If anything, releasing 23 variants from the get go is better because it will allow fans to actually pick which one they want and not surprise them with a new variant every 2 business day so they buy more and more copies. It's not rocket science. Obviously the sped up and slowed down version are made for the charts, no one can say otherwise, this is a business after all and there's a label behind her that will definitely push this kind of stuff. But to act like she's being a hypocrite is so funny to me.

I still don't really get the hype for these kinds of "remixes" and I'm definitely not ok with them coming from official sources It's something the TikTok/YouTube kids do to avoid copyright strikes, sis. Coming from the artists themselves just...Idk It screams cheap and inauthentic. If you want a fast song with a chipmunk voice then you should have made one in the first place. Don't slap an audacity filter on your music and try to make a buck out of it. I hate how the music industry's soul is legit dying in front of all of us and we're just going "yasss dethrone Taylor queen".
