It's not a very unique song idea and both sets of lyrics are pretty basic lol It's like drawing a comparison between a bologna sandwich and a ham sandwich, both made on white bread with that horrible plastic looking American cheese and too much mayonnaise to be considered reasonable30 points

seeing this entire site become a “let’s hate taylor” bullish!t fest when Gaga is supposed to be about uplifting other artists is just next level hypocritical, not even talking about swifites because taking out the toxicity from the fandom (that ALL fandoms have) hella people here are just hating to be horrible people exhibit A like, genuinely do people not have other things to do with their time? I’ll always be a LM first before anything but LORD am i this close 🤏🏽 to just completely not interacting with the fan base anymore. People say the swifites are toxic but in recent times the LM’s are getting to Beyhive level and it’s getting HELLA annoying not to mention the CONSTANT body shaming when we know she had an ED, and so did Gaga, when we know Taylor deals with several mental issues due to being so in the limelight for her entire life practically, more than any other artist (not debatable, every aspect of her life is analyzed every day) and the fact half of you literally make fun of it for some reason, and it’s constant personal insults to someone you don’t even know, it’s ridiculous and childish13 points

Lana Del Rey headlined Coachella this year, and as was expected, her catalog surged in terms of consumption because of that highly-coveted spot. The music festival is so popular that many of the top performers often see huge gains when it comes to sales and streams following their appearances. Thousands who attend the event are quick to listen to their favorites again, and countless people at home get caught up in the excitement as well and contribute to the success of the top stars. Of all of Del Rey’s songs and albums that grow in consumption thanks to her Coachella performances (the event now includes two weekends), none improved more than Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. The singer’s latest full-length exploded in popularity following her highly-attended sets, and sales were way, way up for the title. In the past week, Did You Know… sold another 10,133 copies in the U.S. That’s easily enough to make Del Rey’s latest one of the bestselling titles in the country, which is impressive considering it’s been out for more than a year now. Luminate notes that the week before Coachella began impacting the charts, Did You Know… sold just 1,129 copies. That means that between tracking periods, sales of Del Rey’s recent project soared by 797%. This week, Did You Know… reappears on the Top Album Sales chart, re-entering the list of the bestselling titles in the U.S. at No. 4. The studio effort once peaked in the runner-up rung, missing out on becoming another No. 1 for the superstar by just one space. Source: Forbes12 points

The 180 the industry did to Kesha from her Praying/Rainbow era to 2020 (Dr Luke revival) still baffles me. Sigh12 points

https://a24music.lnk.to/PsychoKiller In January, Miley Cyrus was announced as one of the participants in Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, featuring artists of different genres singing songs by Talking Heads. At the time, the song that Miley had covered wasn’t announced, but now it’s official. Miley has recorded one of Talking Heads’ signature songs, 1977’s “Psycho Killer.” The tribute album, due out May 17, celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of Jonathan Demme‘s Stop Making Sense, Talking Heads’ legendary 1984 concert film, which is often considered one of the best concert films ever made. source10 points

Leaked lyrics from her upcoming album: Yeah I signed it with invisible ink / No I didn’t but I made you blink / I am such a naughty girl / Get on my jet and watch the drama unfurl / The world may be burning down to the ground / But my heart is in the lost and found10 points

that's literally her scamming her own fans, besides her already flirting with quasi-scamming marketing methods to get fans to buy all the variants..10 points

He produced her music, he doesn't own this fierce black woman nor he is responsible for her own talents and skills A writer and composer doesn’t own anything to anyone. again , I don’t support Dr.Luke but dragging this woman cause she wrote a song for someone is insane.9 points

But wait. Why is Taylor allowed to release her 900th album which sounds exactly the same as her others, yet Dua must channel an entirely different sound.9 points

The uber talented Jinkx Monsoon is a quadruple threat like the Hollywood sirens of old. She can sing, dance, act and produce all while maintaining her authentic voice and view of the world. Not only has she won RuPaul’s Drag Race twice (and the title “Queen of All Queens”), she has also taken Broadway by storm playing iconic characters such as Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago and Audrey in The Little Shop of Horrors: she is the first drag queen to ever play the role. Embracing her love of performance coupled with her courage to live in her truth has propelled Jinkx into the spotlight in a magical way. In addition to Broadway roles and concert tours, she will soon be adding sci-fi TV villain to her resume. She is joining the cast of Doctor Who on Disney Plus playing a character with a deliciously dark side. We spoke with Jinkx Monsoon about her life, her career and her transitioning journey. Which has been the cornerstone of her success. Life can be incredibly rewarding when you’re bold enough to live your truth out loud. Recorded in London and Malibu with Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle, Caroline Ailin and Tobias Jesso Jr (with past collaborators including Emily Warren, Ian Kirkpatrick and Ali Tamposi also involved), Radical Optimism strides past the bombastic pop of her self-titled debut and 2020's disco-tinged Future Nostalgia into more experimental territory. Lipa wanted to summon the energy she feels when she plays records by Primal Scream, Massive Attack and Portishead. The shattered disco ball in the video for her Barbie behemoth Dance The Night was no accident. While she is visibly chuffed by the Barbie experience, Lipa calls the track "the last hurrah" for the Future Nostalgia era. She was unimpressed by posts on social media saying that lead single Houdini mimicked her last releases. "It's not the same at all," she says, pointing to her "heavy, high octane, performance-led" turns at the Grammys and BRITs as evidence of where she's going. "People just say things for the sake of saying things or to rile people up," she adds. "I don't resonate with that at all. Also, I've been listening to the new songs [compared to] Physical or Love Again and they have no relation whatsoever. They sound like me because I'm singing them, but sonically they're worlds apart." source7 points

I don't really buy this argument when speaking about her physical and mental health. Vegas residency and a limited tour like CBT address physical concerns. Mental, why would she willingly take on something like Gucci as a method actor where she needed a psychiatric nurse on set and then do Joker, even darker psychologically, yet she can't record and release music? It's just all excuses. She doesn't prioritize music now, that's just the reality.7 points
