Even if I do think she's a great storyteller, it was crazy to see the biggest critics selling her as the best songwriter of our generation. Glad they stopped being afraid of the 2 years of Swifties harassment to expect if you dislike her work... Even on GGD the few members saying she was the Joni Mitchell/ Bob Dylan stopped trying.

Listening to it and omg it's so bland, apart from So Long, London and Florida, it's so unmemorable... I don't get the hype.

As a reminder, this is the same woman who made a documentary where she cried about not being nominated for AOTY at the Grammys for Reputation, after winning twice already. To maybe give some context, in comparison to her now FOUR AOTY wins, the combined efforts of ALL African-American women in the industry over the past 60 years (including legends like Aretha, Whitney, Donna Summer, Alicia Keys, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, Mariah, Solange, and so many more), have only collectively won THREE times, in more than SIXTY years. That's once less than Taylor Swift, for the combined effort of an entire ethnic group who have arguably contributed as much to music, if not more, than Taylor Swift... So yes, the victim narrative is getting a bit tiring to some at this point because it really feels unearned at this stage in her career.

I think it's fair tbh. When people wait for hours outside, sit for another hour, spend an hour watching an opening act, and then have to wait another 3 hours in extreme heat, all while standing the whole time.. I'd even go as far to say it's a danger to their health. I've been out there waiting for a show and standing for hours at the front with no food and hardly any water in such heat, just constantly hoping she will come out 'any time now' for HOURS.. sounds like hell. I bet hella people fainted There is literally no excuse other than she can't be bothered. Then to lip sync on top of that? It's basically false advertising except technically not. Like it's obvious and clear to another decent human with a brain that it's not okay to treat your fans like this, but all of it is technically allowed, which doesn't make it okay it just means that she won't get in trouble And I know people are gonna attack me like wah wah wah everyone knows she's always late so they should expect it. Shut up. Stop licking her boots. It's basic human decency to show up on time to anything, let alone for tens of thousands of people waiting in awful conditions

I'm definitely not a Swiftie nor a fan of hers, but I also think it's silly to give your opinions on music or an artist you haven't listened to. I've listened to all of her albums sans TVs, and this one was literally like one long song. Lyrically it's all over the place and it's just very one note. I'll be the first to admit she makes catchy music with memorable choruses and melodies, but this record was just flat. Like nothing was happening. And we are the same age (34) but damn she is hung up on these guys like a 15yo. The angst and obsession, far too much for your 30s... It's like she's cosplaying as Lana but sorry sweet tea it's not working
