Some artists, like Gaga, have other things to fall back on and can regain stability and popularity after their bubble's burst. Katy simply put out two meh albums (ironically my favorite of hers), had a Vegas show, and became an Idol judge. She can absolutely come back with a vengeance any time though imo

I think the relative disinterest in JLo is how commercialised her music and persona are, it feels like 2010 aesthetic rehashed again and again, and there's barely any concept to her 'eras', if we can even call them that. It’s refreshing to see an artist actively combat deranged stan culture instead of exploiting it. However, she comes across as mean and arrogant to her fans, who ultimately contribute to her success. It’s all a little hollow and shady.

She didn’t wait to be in films to get naked in front of a lens… she’s obviously comfortable with it, and if it serves the story I don’t see why that should be a problem.

In regards to her films, I think this'll definitely be her biggest era to date. ASIB was a great start; it had the novelty of being Gaga's big acting debut [in movies] and the soundtrack was exceptional and got a lot of casuals interested in her. HOG was evidently less successful. The only thing people really talked about was the accents, and the film itself wasn't great. Joker 2 is much more high profile than those two films. It's a big IP, the first film made $1 billion, and it presents an alternative to other comic book films (i.e., it's very different than what most people would consider a "comic book film" to be). It also helps that this and Deadpool 3 are the only films coming out of Marvel and DC this year, so it'll get all the attention.

Ok but if liberals try to cancel her for this it will just reinforce the stereotype of crazy cancel culture liberals. She gave a take on how her family “felt” over a movie. Hope we can respectfully agree or disagree and just move on…

I know it’s just from music, but I am still of the opinion that reaching this kind of wealth is entirely unethical. I love Taylor, I love Beyonce, I love Rihanna, and I love a lot of other celebs who have amassed massive net worths, but I don’t think this kind of wealth should be celebrated or sought after imo.
