To the ears of someone who wasn’t in the room, takes can sound similar but to the person at the desk or the person who did the takes, they’ll notice. She is known for doing hundreds of vocal takes so she has to sit there for hours cycling through them all to see which version she likes best, and combining them. It’s the same thing a film editor does. They comb through hours of nearly identical takes looking for the one that is the most seamless and insert it into the assembly. Sometimes only seconds or fractions of seconds from single takes make it into the final cut. Its a very long and tedious process tbh but it makes all the difference in the world.

It blows my mind how so many fans dislike Chromatica It's such a well-balanced album, with no fillers and a great flow from the beginning to the end. Also, it brought back house/pop dance (Renaissance took it and run, but would we have Renaissance without Chromatica before?) setting a trend that persists until today (yes, and?).
