Yay! So happy for her. Hoping Interscope scoops her up. She honestly has really strong vocals and a nice voice to listen to, is charismatic and fun to watch, and her entire discography (including unreleased) is super fun and good. She deserves a good label.

There is a lot of pressure for her. She doesn't write her own music, she's primarily a vocalist who can dance. (Not saying she isn't talented) She turned out constant single hits from 2005 - 2013, and then decided she wanted to have an actual cohesive album that got critical acclaim. Now she has to follow the later up, which can be really difficult if she doesn't do it right.

For so many years I would’ve said Dance In the Dark hands down, but now I had to vote Alejandro. It’s everything about Gaga’s songwriting that was able to be so catchy yet so dark. The stuttering (Ale, Alejandro), the sledgehammer beat, Spanish infused lyrics, and synths make it sooo infectious

I don’t think it was promoted at all by the label, aside from what Kesha could do with her own resources. The writing was on the wall, and she decided to go for experimental over commercial. Kesha’s nosedive is less to do with marketability and more to do with how she has been treated by the label.
