  1. Tate McRae opens up to Tom Power about why she never wants to write a song with the intention of it being a TikTok hit: "If I'm being super honest, I feel like whenever someone, like a songwriter, walks into a room and [goes], 'We need to make something that's going to catch on TikTok,' it fully kills it for me. I think that is the death of art. If we're basing a song off of a 15-second clip, I just don't think that's real music. I'm not listening to a 15-second clip to feel music the way that I want to feel music. It will always come from if it affects my heart before I think about other people perceiving it.” She is also opens up that "Greedy" was inspired by music from early 2000s such as Nelly Furtado's Loose album.

  2. I find this song to have a unique sound in her musical collection, but in a good way. So groovy and gives me relaxed vibes. What are your thoughts on it? Do you like it or not?

  3. I think the streams are low because the song is not having its tiktok moment sadly but also a song doesn't age poorly because it gets less streams tho

  9. Nobody really wants to go to the theater anymore. I think it's for two reasons: #1.) It's because of other people. Why should I pay good money to go sit in a room with a bunch of coughing, annoying strangers that won't shut up, wont turn off their phones, and bring their ****ing babies to see an adult film? It's irritating. #2.) For the cost of a movie (tickets, maybe snacks), I get to see a film once (in possibly annoying circumstances as I mentioned above). For just a couple extra dollars I can just buy the DVD and watch it forever.

  16. Chromatica review 2.0, I fear. Barbz are pissed. She’ll be filming a relisten soon, watch. Idk why people care so much what she thinks? Babe as long as YOU like it, then what does it matter? I for one am eating this album up rn, so her opinion is irrelevant to me.

  19. I loved the show and felt it was her best since the Born This Way Ball. She proved everyone she still had it. Gave us DarkGa (the epitome of Gaga/ Mother Monster). Gave us choreo, high energy, fashion and emotion. I'm honestly so happy she didn't for a more colorful "cute" theme ala Stupid Love music video. She surprised us with the brutalist and more dark/ abstract theme. She came back on the stage so strong. Starting with Bad Romance, Just Dance and Poker Face, like a machine with dictator esthetic, was the biggest flex ever. Replay shook us all. She brought back blood and batshitcrazyGa. The choreo slayed. The flames... absolutely legendary. Like rock show. Perfect for Gaga. The fashion, hair and make up. I didn't think it would be that good. One of the best of any of her tours. Dark, twisted and sexy. The piano section was incredible. Performing the hits Shallow and ARUTW to the world. At the end she raised her giant paw on Hold My Hand. She's a freak, Mother Monster at the core you see.

  20. Because tiktok is not catching it doesn't mean it's ageing poorly In fact this song and most of BTW album are ageing like good wine. I would say they would have smashed anyways from the 80s till the 10s

  23. I wish she did regular outfit changes a la Renaissance World Tour Side note but remember this slayage? Also I wish the brutalist inspiration for the stage was more apparent and grand/monumental, like this beauty

  24. Her tours have always defied expectations. A lot of people expect the staging and props to reflect the music video's and fashion of the corresponding era, but Gaga likes to take the music to a new place when she does the tour. The Chromatica Ball is a prime example of that. People wanted the stage to be an alien planet with tribes, androids, pink wigs and crystals. But Gaga had already done all of that three years prior to the tour. The entire pandemic passed during that time, with all of the experiences and emotions that brought about. She changed, and took the time to concieve an entirely new concept. All that to say that I enjoyed the tour as it was

  26. Best track on Joanne. What the entire spirit, sound and direction of the album should have been. What Gaga should aspire to make more of.

Let's light our Jewels & Drugs candles ARTPOPIANS 🙌🏽🙏 That's all. Imma return to streaming Gaga's 5th best song "Just another Day"

  32. I don’t think the length is the main issue about music right now, its ok to have a 3min song. The thing is good and memorable productions are missing, it’s been a while since last time. Lack of good production makes songs disposable and forgettable. I really miss those times when I could listen to Bad Romance and just wanted to listen to it all day long and never get tired. This is the kind of music the industry needs.

  33. I think about this song almost everyday. Lyrics like 'today I won't be so hard on me' or 'create simple thoughts' have helped me go through a lot of stuff. Also the melody is so catchy, I really wish someday she makes an album full of this sound

  38. it has not aged poorly, in fact it sounds more timeless than a lot of her other hits (which stream better because of the nostalgia of it all). the gp definitely knows this one but it’s just not as popular as her other hits — which she has so many of. one of them are bound to be #20 regarding hmh: teog came out before streaming and hmh was in one of the biggest movies of that year so streams are gonna be a little lopsided. just like how britney and madonnas best selling digital singles singles wouldn’t include some of their early big hits also this tweet proves otherwise (why is embedding links so difficult now): https://x.com/gagavoodo2/status/1734148982811566292?s=46&t=aKBZRlIQezNhlJVMAft-uQ

  40. Totally agree with her, it's refreshing to see a pop artist say this. However, her music specifically isn't far from super manufactured streaming-era noise. Seems kind of high-brow of her.

  41. Watching a movie at home just isn't the same experience as getting out of the house, meeting up with a friend/s, getting the cinema popcorn, watching it on the big screen with the dolby surround. The whole experience. But maybe that's just because I'm older and growing up it was always a special thing? Maybe it's not the same for the younger generation? I guess other people like watching movies at home? I'm confused too But also obviously the rising prices are a huge factor. I still only go to the cinema maybe 3 times a year, just for the movies I really want to see in a special way. There was nothing like seeing Gaga's face as Ally on the huge screen. Or the iconic "I don't particularly consider myself to be an ethical person, but I am fair". Just wouldn't be the same at home I think it will be sad to see them closing down like Blockbusters. Going to the cinema was never something I thought would die out. I just thought they'd get better and better technology over time until it's full VR or like the Vegas sphere or something

  42. I have always loved this song since day one! I've always loved to sing that one. It just has this bouncy, carefree, light, happy feeling to it that I don't think shows up in any of her other songs. It reminds me of walking down the street on the first warm sunny day of Spring, everybody out and about and happy to see the sun, smiling at one another

  43. I love this song so much, it just makes me feel so good. It is very different than what we’re used to, and I think a very good sound for Gaga, right there with “Look What I Found.”

  46. If Gaga would promote only 10% of her music releases as much as HausLabs, DOC would've had more streams. MV with Rina, Promo w. Ashnikko, and so on...
