Throughout her 17 years in the industry, Taylor Swift has earned several nicknames from her devoted fanbase — from Blondie to Miss Americana to T-Swizzle. But lately, Swifties have been referring to their idol as their “capitalist queen” more and more often thanks to Swift's excessive limited edition merch drops that fans are encouraged to buy and creating a sense of urgency and exclusivity and adding countdowns. Now Taylor Swift fans have been left fuming that her Eras tour film will cost $19.89 to rent for just 48 hours. The singer has been accused of taking an opportunity to 'make even more money' as many called on her to make it free as she is 'already a billionaire'. Others have criticised her for only letting people rent the concert film instead of allowing them to buy it to keep or stream as part of their subscription. One said on Twitter: 'I'm sorry but mother has been getting kinda money greedy recently cause ain't no way she needs to make it $20 to see one time she's literally a billionaire.' Another penned: 'Why wouldn't she make it free. She's a billionaire & we've already paid to see it in movies.' A third penned: 'She is really finding a way to get every single dollar she can get out of this. renting is crazy.' 'Capitalist queen for real,' another wrote. One more agreed: 'Enough with the cash grabs girl. You have like a billion dollars. Releasing every CD with 8 different versions was already too much but this just feels egregious. Just let it stream or let people straight up buy it. This feels icky.' Someone else said: 'I'm kinda tired of her releasing one thing and then different versions of it later. I want to buy the thing and that's it, I know I've gotten the complete item. Not dribs and drabs of it.' Another fan replied to that Tweet saying: 'The general vibe is that people are unimpressed by this blatant cash grab.' Others pointed out that Taylor had withheld three songs from the movie theater release of her concert film that would now be available in the rented version. Therefore even if fans had paid to see the film in the theater they have to pay again if they want to watch these additional performances. source12 points

Britney Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson, posted a pic of the singer with her mom, Lynne Spears, and her brother, Bryan Spears, on his Instagram Stories Saturday. The trio celebrated the pop star’s 42nd birthday together. source10 points

So now Britney's mom is considered a victim like Britney? Britney's mom should go to therapy with Britney as the parent that caused harm to their daughter, and to find a way to heal through this. She shouldn't be put as the same position as Britney or as being the victim. Both parents created the conservatorship by falsely framing Britney, and ignored Britneys call for help when she was being abused.10 points

To this day, 911’s “single” treatment is so odd to me. The video had all the makings of something could’ve had viral value. The Chromatica II transition already went viral once. The song was a fan and GP favorite. She performed it at the VMAs and slayed the ceremony. All was looking good for a sure fire mainstream relaunch of the Chromatica era…..then nothing happened. After the VMAs, we got the video and the Billboard magazine cover/feature and that was it. It was sent to radio in France and Italy, but not in the US, the UK, or anywhere else. I understand she was called to the election and ALWAYS applaud her focus on philanthropy, especially in such a time as wild as 2020, but as has been said time after time: everyone else who had stuff out didn’t get judged for still promoting their own stuff and had massive success (Dua, The Weeknd, Megan, etc). I mean the album was about dealing with a hard reality via an escape in dance music, and we largely had nothing to escape to with 911’s release. Even in 2016 she did a lot of campaigning during the election but still promoted Joanne at the same time. I know now I’m getting too into stuff that’s been discussed to death. I just wish they had at least sent it to radio, not used the song in election material but maybe a “911/urgency” call to vote angle here and there (think Dua using the Break My Heart lyrics to push “stay at home”), released merch, and done some fun social media content like they did for SL and ROM.9 points

It’s so rare to find out Gaga wanted to record songs not written by her, especially early in her career. As far as we know she started doing this with recent albums like Perfect Illusion, Come To Mama, Sour Candy and Sine From Above which were demos that started with other people.9 points

I think the stage was ok, you guys praised worst stages, I still don't understand why so many fans were hard on Gaga because of the stage while praising other, much more, basic ones Replay was the highlight of the show. Her lack of dancing in BR was not a good choice, as the opener, it felt energyless and not so "gaga" Not singing Paparazzi was another mistake. Telephone followed by LoveGame is really overused and could have been replace by 2 other songs.8 points

- Her energy and mindset was on point! The best in years you could see the GAGA edge in her eyeballs. - Opening with "Bad Romance" was legendary. And I think the live netflix recording will really ELEVATE that even more. - "Alice" became a bit more melancholy and more performance piece, but I kinda like it tbh. - 2 more deep cuts deserved a place on the setlist. - "Stupid Love" came alive during the final act over ROM I fear. - Replay, 911, Monster were METAL asf. She was batshit insane. - The visuals might be her best - The dancing 911 transformer, the psychedelic interlude, the opening interlude of Gaga morphing in the black shadows etc etc. - A few more shows would've been a nice addition, preferably Australia or South America - TCB deserves a THEATRICAL release.7 points

Very strange considering she was so opposed to using songs she didn’t write herself back then. Also strange bc I can’t hear Gaga in that song at all, even if she changed it up somehow. Secondly, I’m mad bc she didn’t use NOBTR bc she didn’t write it, when it could’ve been one of her biggest hits of all time. Yet somehow she was ok with making an exception for this song which is so wildly inferior6 points

I dont know. The song sounds more like a persistent guy with high self confience and that he is pretty sure/optimistic hes getting layed with her. Not necessairily that hes gonna try to make or force her to do it Sounds like toxic masculinity & objectification which is already problematic but i wouldnt go as far as calling it rape I feel theres a gender bias here too. If a female artist made a song with these lyrics youd all be calling it sexual seduction from an empowered woman not rape. Like i can almost see a song with very simmilar lyrics in Britney Spears femme fatale EDIT: I will add there are scenarios with the right nuances leading up to it that could make this too pushy and heading in a direction that comes across rapy. But its just a song, so we dont have that kind of background detail like we would in a real life situation. So it also depends how ur imagining the exchange of words between ppl in a song like this and how it led up to it. But u do kind of have to make some assumptions in order to draw to that conclusion5 points

I loved that she broke free visually from her three huge single hits by performing them first, as if to get them out of the way, and then the balance of the setlist appeared to chronologically tell her biography from Alice (abortion & striving for success) to her current relatively happy place (with Stupid Love & Hold My Hand), with all her ups and downs between. To me she radiated happiness more so than on previous tours.5 points

SO amazing that she did this majority of our community, especially the younger generation, takes the freedom of living out and gay for granted. They have no concept of what it was like before, and they treat older gay men like trash to be thrown away. Trust me, befriend an older gay man or woman. Aged 50, 60+ (if you can find one alive.) Their stories will completely change your life and outlook.5 points

This song was honestly such an amazing surprise She sounds so good, and honestly I really love the tone of the recording and her vocals. It’s such a different vibe from the TonyGaga albums, it’s much more moody / noir. and honestly I hope if/when she does release her own jazz album it’s more like this.4 points

GIRL that Bad Romance opener was perfect symbolism. Her being trapped in her fame in a cage. Then the dancers worshipping her during just dance.. it was pure art!!4 points
