ELECTRAHEARTPOP 93
i love them all but his best was 60's and 70's I prefer his 80s experimental period (the Berlin trilogy) but ZIggy is just an incredible work. Starman is probably my favourite Bowie song.

ELECTRAHEARTPOP 93
80's or 70´s? Berlin trilogy was 70s but he continued experimenting with different genres with Let's Dance and Tonight where the rock became more pop and disco, I'd say that was pretty experimental for it's time, especially for an artist like Bowie. ChasingGhosts 726
His Ziggy era, Young Americans, Berlin era and Lets Dance are his best works tbh Born This Way > Joanne > The Fame Monster > The Fame > ARTPOP
Rimes 5
To me, Bowie's 1970s work is hands-down his best, and his 1980s work second-best. The 1970s really saw Bowie finding his voice. The Ziggy Stardust glam-rock period of the early-to-mid 70s got attention and made him a star, but it was the late 1970s period where he became more than just a star, but an icon. Take a look at these two videos below. The transformation is particularly noticable since these were both done for the same TV series ("Top Pop"). The first one is from early 1974 and Bowie comes across as an oddly-dressed, brash young mischevious glam-rocker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_niunYzplQA The next second video is from late 1977 and Bowie is clearly more mature, just his presence on the stage is enough to wow the viewer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvtp8bTpV_Q Bowie would return again to the more outrageous looks on occasion in the early 1980s, but it looks like he really found his voice by the mid-to-late 1970s. PopBitch 1,218
I just discovered this song from the '90s by Bowie, Jump They Say, written about his brother's suicide. I love this song. Live performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52ff8uqM2Qs
PopBitch 1,218
One of the few Bowie albums I own, Reality, from 2003. I love this song. I know longtime fans say his best albums were in the '70s, etc, but I really enjoyed this album and especially this song, New Killer Star. He was like 57 years old here and sounds unbelievable vocally still. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d-4-ySCiv0
