Tropico 4,145 Posted April 14, 2014 Share Posted April 14, 2014 I don't really see how ARTPOP is a flop if in only the short span of 6/5 months she has managed to accumulate 2.3 MIL. sales... I mean if this is what everyone is getting all worked up about and calling a flop then good God Madonna must be the biggest flop ever (WHICH SHE MOST DEFINITELY ISN'T!). Like Gaga is always being compared to Madonna when it's negative things on Gaga's part but has anyone pointed out that Gaga's "Flop" album has sold 2.3 Mil in 6 months whilst MDNA has sold 2 Million in 2 years (also being considered her "flop" album). I mean that's a pretty big difference. Also considering ARTPOP sales came in for 3rd best female album sales of 2013 all together (not first week). Coming in at 9th overall. I mean isn't this good enough for y'all? Also if we consider that Gaga has broken multiple records this era. •Burqua (as it was known back then) was the most googled search song of 2013 •DWUW Broke a record for most #1's in multiple countries breaking Adele's former record. •ARTPOP was apparently the most preordered album of 2013 (I'm not sure about this one though) I think we need to give credit where it's due. I know ARTPOP may not have had the best... ALTHOUGH STILL REALLY GOOD... First week sales but it doesn't mean this album is a flop. Not her best but definitely not a flop. It's first week sales are often compared to PRISM but c'mon... So what... Katy sold more than Gaga... This time... Gaga has proven time after time she can be at the top of charts. Katy: One Of The Boys: 5 MIL sales ww to date. Gaga: The Fame: 15 MIL sales I don't have the exact sales for the other 2 of her albums before PRISM but I know TFM and BTW Outsold. And the fact that some of you are already saying stuff like Gaga will be serving at McD's and at local bars in 3 years just shows how unloyal people here can be. Every artist has that album which doesn't meet up with orevious sales but it isn't the end... Like look at Katy (TD sold more than PRISM), Britney, Madonna, Cher, Justin and many more but it doesn't mean it's the end. Really ARTPOP is doing just fine. G.U.Y. Hasn't even been a single for a week and y'all quiting on Gaga... Fake fans (some of you) tbh. She is gonna be just fine and trust me artRAVE (which is also doing well) will pick up sales... I just wanted everyone to know that ARTPOP, Gaga and artRAVE aren't going anywhere by the looks of it. AND BY THE FUCKING WAY THE GP HASN'T GIVEN UP ON GAGA. The "flop" rumors and articles helped the album a lot, so i don't rlly care that ppl call it a flop... and ur right about the GP not giving up on her, they still talk about her, more than they talk about many other pop girls.
