Juanjo 2,139
Stache was supposed to be indicative of what ARTPOP would be. In my opinion, it sounds very similar to Aura, and, if I remember correctly, Aura was one of the first songs written and recorded for ARTPOP (leaked demo). The injury definitely altered Gaga's vision for ARTPOP. I love the final product, but I do wish we would have gotten to hear that original concept she had in mind. Guest
No, but I think there are a lot of unreleased songs that it is indicative of! Hopefully some make it onto Act II. Ascetic 0
Was it supposed to be? I always thought she just sang over a song Zedd had already made just for the hell of it That'd be Donatella
Tokyo Rose 1,475
It's a pre-made beat that she sang over, so I would say yes, it's very indicative of ARTPOP
Little7Monster 0
It was a good example of the sound she was experimenting with, and how she was going to sing (very exaggerated). I think it would have been cool if Zedd was able to release it as a single as a "feat. Lady Gaga" to promote both of their works together. I like Stache, but it wasn't indicative of ARTPOP, it was merely an example of the "possibilities" Gaga talked about. Honestly, I kind of wish ARTPOP was more like Stache, or at least had some more of those darker Zedd productions on them.
Hauser 1,262
Not really, Swine, Donatella, and GUY were the closest songs to Stache.

Antidote 95
I thought ARTPOP would sound like Stache a lot and maybe in the beginning that was her idea, but the result doesn't sound like Stache
BloodyM 1,256
I remeber the time when ARTPOP was going to have a 'Rave' sound.
One Five Ten 70
No but idk why there's a sad face next to it... Stache was awful and ARTPOP was amazing
Alex C 254
I remeber the time when ARTPOP was going to have a 'Rave' sound. I do remember that time, too. But honestly, as a g.u.y. who has burned millions of brain cells on MDMA on rave parties, it sounds nothing like it :( I really wish she didn't back from the sound of Born this Way. The production was so richer, so darker, so club-ready. It was the sound of the future, but ARTPOP has a sound of a half-finished 2013 record. And this is coming from one of her biggest fans, trust me. Perform Living

This is why I still think Born This Way is a better album. Even though Venus is my favorite song on the album, it could have had so much more work done to it. MJH would fit in on Born This Way perfectly
Pain of fame1 229
I think it was, of the original concept at least. She indicated often that ARTPOP was going to be less mature than her previous efforts and ARTPOP was to be just pure fun - which Stache is. Stache is immature compared to other records like Heavy Metal Lover, Bad Romance and even Just Dance, lyrically. At the same time, there aren't many people in the industry who can make a track about weed and it be flawless. Yes, I know Stache is just her lyrics over an already released track of music done by Zedd and it was just for fun, but I do think it was very indicative of the original ARTPOP concept, not what we received. THIS. ARTPOP in 2012 was going to be as STACHE was, fun dirty inmature music about decay of the blonde icon, princess highs etc...

Yess, i always think about how it would have been...(Recuerdo que ZEDD dijo que sonaba como a música del 2050..)
