THIWD went top 100 on iTunes after the video release. Birthday needed like 80M AI to barely go Top 40 on iTunes. THIWD needs only 30M AI to go Top 30. With 80M AI it'd easily be in the Top 10 of iTunes. 30M AI is not impressive, FYI.

 

Not to mention that THIWD has already surpassed Birthday's views on youtube.

 

 

I'm not trying to call the song good, but it'd be top 10 on iTunes if it had better radio support, which is very impressive for a fifth single.

TIHWD was stable in the top 100 on iTunes with 8M of airplay. G.U.Y. was falling off the top 400 with 8M of airplay.

But TIHWD was getting big updates.  GUYs biggest update was like 0.8M right ?   TIHWD was also added to a lot more stations than GUY, infact GUY was not even added in half as many.

And it's a bit hard to compare Gaga's ARTPOP era.. I don't know why I did it.  It'd be better to compare MTN with TIHWD and my point will be more valid.

Yeah, but it was after two weeks after the video was released. It was stable on the top 150 for two weeks with small updates on radio.

G.U.Y. couldn't even stay in the top 200 for a whole week.

It's #70 on radio, #25 on iTunes, and THIWD is only getting +0.5M updates. It's doing way better than Birthday on iTunes and is clearly a top 10 hit with radio support. But I don't know the call-out scores so that might play a role in the lackluster radio reception of THIWD while it's showing signs of becoming a hit.

 

In the past few days, it has had a couple of +1.0 updates. Don't worry, radio isn't going to let this fail! :)

 

First callout scores are in. They are very similar to the first week of "Birthday." Positive rating is a little higher, but so is the negative rating. It's a low familiarity so songs that debut this low can see big gains (or losses), so probably too early to say anything for sure, looking at callout scores. It doesn't matter anyhow...pop radio is going to push this to top 10 no matter what the callout scores are. lol
