chris777 112
Nope, that position is taken by Babel - Mumford & Sons I was looking at this http://www.billboard.com/artist/306341/lady-gaga/chart?f=305 but yeah, she is not in the official Billboard 200 chart
Dangerous Man 9,245
Lol, ARTPOP did not even have a year in BB200. OH well, that's what you get Interscope when you mess up the promotions and have a flop single. Even pricing it to $15 is just pathetic. Like it's the most non-understandable thing to exist. Mills 446
GUY was a great single choice. Don't even. Yes. It was among the few songs on ARTPOP which I instantly found of having the best potential of becoming a post-album single back when the album was released, along with Sexxx Dreams and Gypsy. It sounded a typical Gaga record (well, if not the most among all of ARTPOP), as though it was produced by RedOne back in the day. Too bad it took three months for them to release it after DWUW was already leaving radio. So yeah, G.U.Y. was a good choice, but was picked at the wrong time and was handled by poor management. Dangerous Man 9,245
G.U.Y. is still her worst single choice imo, esp. that ARTPOP has songs that are more appealing to the GP than it. (e.g. MANiCURE, Gypsy, Venus) "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

Dangerous Man 9,245
Judas is still the worst sis I could agree to that. hmmm.. maybe they're equally worst single choice. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

Mills 446
This is the nth time this album was discounted. And every time it does get a discount, the inevitable happens - and that's to shoot up on iTunes. The ones who keep buying it must not be the hardcore fans. Probably the ones who simply like ARTPOP or Gaga's music, but are under the impression that the album is just overpriced.
Dangerous Man 9,245
Either way, They're in a better place now. GUY might resurrect when it gets noms on VMA 2014 and win the Video of The Year. You can say I'm being delusional here. lol. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

Bye 3,947
Well that's my point. What you like =/= what's single worthy. Everyone I know who's heard GUY thinks Ira either a decent/amazing/catchy song. Most of the people who hate Gaga at my school too. I'm not saying that's an indication, but I'm saying it at least says a lot. It doesn't say a lot though because from my experience most people I know don't like it anecdotal evidence isn't evidence at all. And I know that what I don't like doesn't make something not single worthy. All I've been trying to say and that apparently you're not understanding is: 1. I did not like GUY way before it became a single 2. I think it's chorus is boring and repetitive 3. It's sound is overly harsh and reminds me of Judas 4. Points 2 and 3 happen to be the same reasons why I don't think it was single worthy. That is all, I was expressing my opinion. Gaga's team choosing G.U.Y. as a single was not a bad decision... There should be no debating that. It's not even one of my faves and I found it a bit overrated, but even I couldn't deny it was well liked by many inside and outside the fanbase. Timing and how the single was actually handled is a different story. Apparently not. Maybe But it's quite obvious everyone is saying it's a bad single choice because it flopped. I think it would've don't well with decent AirPlay. It's just like everyone was saying Applause was a bad single choice until it caught on and suddenly it became the "1st, 2nd and 3rd single" No no no you're still not understanding and these statements are trying to make guys like me seem as we stan only for success. Why can't you understand that we've always said GUY was not a good choice because it's bland and lacks interest? Another thing: Even though it did quite good I don't think You & I was single worthy especially to be released globally. I think MTN was single worthy even though it didn't do great. Excuse me, G.U.Y. is a much better single choice than Venus. It's catchy, it's hot, and it's totally Gaga. The management just handled it horribly as usual It's like you're describing Venus

It's like you're describing Venus I didn't mean to make you look bad It's just that literally everyone in this thread was celebrating when GUY was picked as a single. Now I see some of those same people saying it was a horrible single choice. And I respect your opinion, and I get what you mean.
