because most already have the album and honestly, who is even hearing G.U.Y on the radio? I've been paying a lot closer attention to it than I'm used to and honestly I heard they playing the song like 2 times since it came out. and because in my city only 1 station plays Gaga

Mess @ people saying G.U.Y. is not that good of a song. When ARTPOP came out everyone was like "OMG!!!! That song slays, it needs to be a single!!!!!", but now that it's flopping you think it's generic and too EDM :excuseme:

It's radio. There's no other reason. The song is primarily being played in smaller cities and in the middle of the night, so not many are hearing it.

This chart mess doesn't change my attitude about the song. Still my favorite from ARTPOP, especially with such an amazing video film

No TV, or awards show performances. It's up to her to promote it so people will be aware of it then request it. Look at how many times she performed Do What You Want and look at how high it was climbing. That's how Gaga gets her songs out. She's not Katy who can dump any song and people will request, Gaga has to perform.

DWUW was climbing because it had consistent support from the bigger radio stations and they were playing it at hours when the majority of listeners were actually...awake!

It also had some support on more than one radio format. DWUW also had a commercial that gave it a nice jumpstart on iTunes and basically made it a top 5 or 10 hit in Canada and a few other countries outside of the US.

Katy's new song isn't getting big radio updates due to people requesting it. BD is getting daily radio updates better than songs that have been in the top 5-10 on iTunes for weeks.

I think the song needed to be released near to when the album was dropped, so taking DWUW place. Releasing it so long later after ARTPOP was already forgotten by everyone bar the fandom and the song had no hope in being a hit, especially in Gaga's current plight.

People just aren't feeling the music on the album. It's not that it's bad, it's just not what people are into right now. I don't think it's necessarily Gaga because Applause and DWUW were well-received by most people. It's just the rest of the album, people aren't into it.

Maybe with the next album, or Act II, they'll be more into the music she decides to put out. :)

Actually i feel i must point out, if ppl dont want Gaga right now, forcing her down the GP throats will just get ppl annoyed and may do more harm than good. That happened in the BTW Era... The Label might recognise this and maybe thats why they arent doing too much promo

Its best to wait, and let her be low key, and some time in the future try to promote her to the GP again

This is an extremely valid point...the lack of promo is probably a good thing. I don't ever want her to get overexposed again after Born This Way.

No support from the radio, basically no promotion at all (and like no live performances of the song on talk shows and such), alot of people aren't even talking about Gaga anymore. Some people don't know it's out, and the ones that do, just don't like it that much I guess

I have no problem with the GP not being here for G.U.Y., I wasn't expecting them to anyway. I think it's just sad that a lot of fans are saying the song isn't that good after all just because it's not doing well on the charts. I mean, if you didn't like G.U.Y. from the beginning, then I guess it's okay if your opinion on the song hasn't changed since, but we're giving the GP way too much power, we want them to love Gaga soooooo damn bad and we need to let it go because it's just not happening right now and we need to accept it once and for all.

So what if she's going through a rough patch commercially? It happens to EVERY major pop artist. Personally I still like the album and I still like G.U.Y. and my opinion on the song isn't going to change because it's flopping.
