Dangerous Man 9,245 Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 this I hate saying that but with video this song could have been another Applause sized hit :emo: radio in my country still plays the song on daily basis the fact that with no video the song was bigger hit in EU than US where the main factor for exposure in the EU is music video .... it tells us enough Although her MVs have now minimal impact on her charting, i agree that it could help the song enter the top 10 esp with the streaming points. If you were referring to DWUW getting into the BB top 10, then you should have just said that. I don't know what that has to do with G.U.Y. increasing from the 40s at this point, though. We were waiting for DWUW to enter the top 10 but it did not. During that time ppl keep saying just give it time. Now, we are waiting for GUY to at least enter the top 100. Now, we are waiting for GUY to at least enter the top 100. G.U.Y. has to have enough radio support to even get to a point where enough people are hearing it. That's why people are saying to give it time. Let the overall A.I. grow closer to 20 million or so. It's way too soon to call! Did you know that the are songs like Made in the USA that have popular videos before it was sent to radios but it didn't even get an airplay? Remember, that was Demi's second single, AFTER she had a NUMBER ONE Pop Song and she was on X Factor several times a week! And yes, Demi did release a video for the song right away, before it started to climb on the charts! We will know about how many adds GUY received in about 39 to 40 hours from now. Remember, that will be just adds, not spins! It will take a while for those stations to work a new song into their playlist and many stations will add later than Tuesday. The 8th is not going to be some kind of magic day! No amount of radio support in the coming days will possibly push this more than 200 spots. It's just extremely unlikely and should not be an expectation of anyone. Let it grow, and then a televised performance on a musical-oriented program should suffice for a sizeable boost. There's no way radio will support this single by the end of April if this single couldn't move beyond the top 300. Hence, a TV promo spot to boost it is a must.
