But the truth of the matter is, there is no recipe to get a hit, no one really knows how but it just happens. My personal advice for gaga would be to keep doing what she's doing and to make ART that she believes in and wants to make. Eventually one of her songs will become a huge hit eventually. If not from ARTPOP, then from her next album or the one after that. Gaga has the talent and that is all she needs to be successful. Just give it time. It'll be interesting if this song peaks within the top 5 on the HOT 100 after already topping some major markets in the world, namely the UK and AUS. I'm hoping for the former - even though among all the singles she had released from this album, this is where I'm worried the most for a worse peak than MTN. Dont worry about the sales for now. Think of it, Gaga suddenly has a 2m boost in sales: that's a talking point which will conjure more interest and sales. I mean, 2m fake sales but that's just the same as radio payola for singles. Over 52 million records sold in just less than 6 years or so. That's impressive for any act who came around the scene during the late 2000s. In addition to that, she'd only need around 500k for her to go past 10 million album sales. The closest from her in this race to 10M is Justin Bieber. He's at around 9M with 8 major releases (4 studio albums, 3 remix albums, 1 EP). For comparison's sake, Rihanna's total record sales in the US stand around 99.4 million (including the singles she's featured on; 89.3 million digital song sales and over 10.1 million album sales).
