This really makes me wonder how and what would have become of ARTPOP if it had started off like this and had she been in control from the beginning

And now you truly understand what "Honor your vomit" means. :derpga: lol Seriously tho it was an amazing performance and I'm happy to see that she gets the attention she deserves. And even if she wasn't I'll still love it. :whitney:

Totally epic. I can't believe some of you all were disappointed. She was so full of passion and energy and raw talent. You could see the fire in her eyes again.

This so much! And the interview was amazing, she finally commented on a lot of things we wanted to hear her talk.

I wonder if this was all a paid stunt for the past few months after Troy left.

This was about the decay after all.

But I can't get my hopes up.

Good to see some positive headlines even if I thought the performance was tawdry.

The whole show or just one song? I'm not trying to shade you, I just wanna know.

And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!

I actually thought Swine was the best part because of the energy, aside from still thinking how gross the girl's stomach acid being on Gaga is. haha

But the rest of the show I thought she was so... off.

As if she was trying too hard to prove she isn't a manufactured singer, but came across as a 13yo smoking a cigarette to look cool.

It doesn't seem genuine to me. It wasn't anything that some other rocker couldn't do. It reminded me of Emilie Autumn actually- I'm not sure why. I like when Emilie does some crazy shxt, because it's consistent and expected, but Gaga is so predicted to go all over the place it gets redundant, which really seems like an oxymoron, but I'm tired, so it is hard to explain.

Everything down to her head banging came across as acting out her past to cater to the audience.

I've never really felt like Gaga is honest about her intentions with fame and this was a new level. I thought it could have been edgy and grungy without being so cheapened by her fxck this, fxck that remarks.

How long have you been following Lady Gaga? I mean, she was lighting fcking hairspray on fire in 2006...You're either new, or you've been living in a bubble. Last night was your typical Gaga festival performance. She's not gonna be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz every performance, dude.

The fact that the first argument against any Gaga complaints takes into question how long someone has been a stan is so obnoxious and needs to stop.

I'm not upset that she was edgy- that's why I like her. I've been following Gaga very closely since spring 2008, before the JD video was even out, so no, I'm hardly new. New to having an account? Sure. I'm not blind. I have loved her festival performances aside from this one. I think this was her trying too hard. It's the first time I've fully felt like she's trying to force an image instead of letting it flow. I loved the hairspray thing at Lollapalooza and the disco bra at the one before that. Glastonbury was amazing. I don't mind the electrical tape or having grime all over her body. Even her dreads, however cheap they looked, grew on me.

I didn't think it as typical from her at all. She had this level of s-x and camp to her before in everything she did, but about a quarter way through BTW her execution has suffered. She was just some drunk girl on stage last night. It wasn't cute or endearing to me. It's like going to karaoke and seeing someone who has a decent voice just go apeshxt to a song, but being ridiculously over the top to try and elicit a response from the crowd instead of just going with it.

I'm glad people aside from fans liked it, but I think it was possibly the lowest point in her career and I hope she stops with the immature "fxck the mainstream" bullshxt. She has always pushed it, and talked down about it, but blatantly acting like she's some anti-commercial indie bxtch was just too fake, especially while performing at SXSW on the Doritos stage and being interviewed on Kimmel. Maybe she's still stuck in 2006. Who knows.

I asked you because you're speaking like she's never done anything like that before. And I didn't ask how long you've been a stan, I asked how long you've been following her. You're one of the typical monsters who fell out of love with her part way through the BTW era, and now "Everything is so forced and fake" You can go watch BR and Telephone and bop all night for all I care. All I did was state the obvious. If you don't like what she does, cool. But the thing about Lady Gaga is that she changes herself every minute, and she's never been fake, she acts like she does because it's her character. Go live in your BR and Telephone bubble, love.
