I feel EXACTLY the same. I'm pissed. If she can say "I don't like Applause"... Well I hate this era.

Pressssssed.

Relaxxxxx everyone relaxxxxx. Just enjoy the music shall we? IT'S FUN! Last night performance was fun too! It's raw and filled with love. At least Gaga is still here with us celebrating love with music. I'm sure the day she gone we will appreciate everything from her - even a tiny bit of her hair. SO - ENJOY YOUR LIFE + MUSIC + GAGA.   :kisses:

No. No, Gaga, you didn't. You didn't become famous for any of what happened at SXSW.

She is so unrecognizable from the Gaga I fell in love with.

Sure, there were aspects of the show I liked, but overall this was awful and messy.

She tries way too fxcking hard.

Does anyone else agree? If she didn't want to be a pop singer she shouldn't have tried to be one.

Honestly, if Artrave is like this show I might actually stop following her career this closely. I'm really disappointed and sad. She's not even the same person. I feel so let down.

THIS I was literally about to make a thread saying the same exact thing. I miss the old gaga with the dancers and choreography and that spark she would have in every performance, now she just kinda jumps around and basically does the same thing every song and to be quite honest I was bored... I never complain about what she does but this was just a huge disappointment

honestly, my favorite performance was the #ArtRave back in November right when ARTPOP launched.

===============================================================

so many people's comments on this board are making me laugh & cringe...

her performance today at SXSW was probably one of her most authentic performances to date.

think about it: before she blew up - she was performing at bars with lady starlight all over the east village, wearing crazy clothes and blowing cans of hairspray on fire, on stage...

before she blew up, she opened up for punk rock bands, and has repeatedly confessed to loving heavy metal music.

Gaga is wild, extreme, experimental, a TOTAL FREAK (which is why I love her) and she knows how to pull in her audience.

Yes, the performance today was a Mess. That was THE POINT. The energy of today's performance was primal, ecstatic, liberatory, and a big celebration of who she knows herself to be deep down...

I feel like today's performance showed everyone who she really is. She's a punk rock pop star. She's a heavy metal lover.

If you can't deal with her being completely whackadoodle, then why do you like her in the first place?

Her level of freakiness is what makes me fall in love with her more and more. I'd take this writhing, gritty, messy performance any day over a staid, stiff, rehearsed pop dance number...

I think deep down inside, she really wants to be PJ Harvey.

I guess I just fell in love with FestivalGa. The first time I saw her live was at Glastonbury, she was messy, wasted, provocative and didn't really give a damn.

When I saw her in a red leather mini skirt and see through panties, it was love at first sight.  :omfgaga:

She have said many times that she made pop music because she wanted to be famous and that was the only way to get it.

She didn't became famous for being covered in puke but that's not what she is saying. She became famous for doing crazy things and being wild.

She has always been this "mess" and nobody is gonna change it. She just adapts to the occasion.

I'm wondering if she really is that healthy if she couldn't manage to stay sober for the concert..

:ohno:

I really do hope so. :(

I'm completely fine with her doing crazy stunts. I've always liked that she was a loose cannon and wild, but I just thought this SXSW performance was horrible in every aspect. Even from the messy aspect. At Glastonbury for example, she looked stoned out of her mind, and it came across that way and so her incoordination felt genuine. At SXSW, it just looked like she was trying to be intentionally sloppy so that she could be seen as a "creative rebel."
