hughdancy 282
Political unrest like this doesn't happen out of the blue or because of a weak leader (on the side of the revolutionaries). All I'm saying is that everything happening in Ukraine should be taken with the upmost seriousness Thoughts go out to the little monsters and innocent people in the area though I am taking it seriously :/ but I don't think this is a legitimate threat. There are much more pressing issues atm like nukes that actually DO exist rather than nukes that will possibly exist in 6 months.
MJHolland 12,725
They wouldn't use them, if they actually had the weapons there is no way Russia would risk it Idk if you know this or not but Putin is not the brightest of leaders lol!

But also if Russia doesn't pull back forces in the area then other nations/UN will step in to make them and thats just sticky . We'll have to see what the UN has to say when the Security Council meets tomorrow! Hoping for actual progress to peace!!

Vernier 3,786
At least they're doing something, but lbr, things like withdrawing ambassadors and threatening to pull out of G8 talks aren't really gonna make Russia afraid enough to withdraw. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

Ascetic 0
Well - see the difference between Belarus (which is basically what Russia wants Ukraine to become like) and Poland. There's a big one. If Ukraine joined the EU, they could sell their gas to European countries and use their own natural gas, making Russia irrelevant in Europe. They could also start exporting way more to Europe, and not all of the money would go to Russian gas anymore (Ukraine pays the most to Russia for gas out of any European country, due to a weird contract). Which exactly proves my point about the West containing Eastern imports until their governments are compliant on the regulations of the EU. It's a bully trying to out-bully a bigger bully.
