llbcherry 591
If I hear indie, I think folk, then I think Joanna Newsom, then I imagine Gaga screeching about milk and trees over whimsical, atonal, finger-picked acoustic guitar... then I answer your question: NO. I don't want her to shift towards hipster music. Alternative like Alanis Morrisette? I could dig that.

ladygaga1984 175
She would probably need a band for that... Gaga & the Scene... lolololol.... just kidding. If she could do something like Queen I would be here for that... i know that´s not indie, but hey!

IAmTheX 0
I think there's a really big misunderstanding with the word indie. Music can be experimental or commercial. Objectives are what the words 'indie' and 'mainstream' refer to. You can make experimental music but if you try to sell it with lots of promo, your music's mainstream, like Lorde. You can make commercial music but if you don't really get a lot of promo (so your sells aren't that good) you're indie, like Marina & The Diamonds. But, well, if y'all take the word 'indie' as a genre... I can't imagine Gaga making songs like Mumford And Sons' or Florence + The Machine's ones. She's, anyway, the popstar that experiments the most nowadays, Aura is such an experimental song. What I really want for Gaga's next album is deep lyrics and a mix between rock (not pop/rock mid-tempos, but really lively and cool songs with solos, riffs, energetic drums...) and touches of electronic (not EDM tbh), so they can sound on the radio and be radio-friendly but also different. Maybe like St. Vincents' songs.
Rainbowgynous 0
Even more, nearly all of my fave artists are indie, Melanie C, Suzanne Vega, Joan Jett... They all set up their own record labels when they were done with the major ones... And slayed even more than before.

Oh, I'm really so sorry tbh. We sometimes comment without reading Anyway, I wouldn't like her, I would love her to be making an album with lots of influences from rock, indietronic and that stuff, but not leaving pop. Rainbowgynous 0
Indie rock, yes please, pretty please with a fuckload of cherry trees on top and some giant boom booms.
tristessa 0
Yes, if I liked the music I'd listen to it. Indie sort of the trend in rock music right now isn't it? I would like it if she still expanded it within the pop genre though.
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Why do people want her to make rock music so bad? I definitely don't want her to keep making EDM dance music but there's so much more she could do than rock
Phoenix 17,395
I would LOVE her even more, if that's possible. I love indie music and artists. She would fit soo good in there. The problem is that the sales would be soo low 'cause of that so monsters would brag about it. 💎

That J 12,166
Gaga is one of only a very few artists I'd buy an album of without hearing ANY songs from it first. Ill always Stan for her.
