I generally get below 200kB/s with Fielserve as a free user, but I've seen it capped as high as 400kB/s. There is no download speed cap with Mediafire, even as a free user: "Unlimited Fast Simultaneous Downloads Download files from MediaFire without limitations on speed or quantity. There are no restrictions on how many downloads you can initiate simultaneously or sequentially and resuming failed downloads is supported." I randomly found and downloaded this 130mb video and I got 1300-1400kB/s (1.3MB/s) the whole time which took less than 2 minutes to complete: My internet is capped at 1.9MB/s and I wasn't even logged into my free account. Granted, I don't always get those speeds, I think it depends on the Medaifire server the file is hosted on. I usually get between 500-1000kB/s, very rarely slower than that, but that's still faster than Fileserve. I don't know why,but when I download things from mediafire,the speed was really fast... nevermind,I try to dl from fileserve then :) You probably just picked the right moment, if i would upload it to MediaFire it still wouldn't guarantee that you will get fast download. In my experience i didn't noticed significant differences between download speeds from MediaFire, Fileserve, Filesonic or Wupload. But i've noticed that MediaFire is a lot slower when it comes to uploading files + the file size limit (200mb) is one of the lowest from these host sites i mentioned before, that's why i avoid using MediaFire. Of course i can make an exception depending on situation, for example if someone can't download the file at all, then i might consider uploading it to the other hosting site, since that person won't have the opportunity to download the file any other way. OK,I get it.I forgot to say that my location(Hong Kong) is blocked from fileserve,so I have to change my IP address in order to surf the site,sometimes if I'm lucky enough I can go on the site really quick,somestimes I can't even enter it.But its just for fileserve and megaupload,I don't have any problems on surfing other sites,so yeah...I guess you're right,maybe its just my server flop... As for mediafire,I can get a higher speed probably because I can dl with Bitorrent(it supports http/ftp dl) while others sites won't allow me to do so.But nevermind... But now i'm very rarely download Gaga's videos from the torrent, most of my search is done just browsing the internet, i use different search words, different search engines etc. If i find some blogs or forums that post Gaga's videos i check them time from time. And this forum have bin big help for me, Kostas312, Nemo, BornToSlay, chizzum have posted some videos that i probably wouldn't have founded. And that's how i'm getting these videos. Now some of the places or the links where i download the videos from are gone and this makes me value my collection more, coz if i would lost everything, there's probably no chances to find all of these videos again.
