I like this answer. I personally am pro plastic surgery. If you don't like something and want to alter it, then go for it! But what I don't support is when you get so much plastic surgery that your unreconcilable. I believe there is a line.

Her body her choice.

I think it is disappointing and disturbing that we have a culture that encourages people to undergo a surgical procedure (surgery should never be taken lightly), in order to fit with society's body ideal but I don't think we should be putting the blame on individuals that succumb to the enormous pressure put on them by society. They are only doing what is best for them.

I would be very surprised firstly.  I wouldn't judge her, but it would make me sad.

There's sometimes a bit of a misunderstanding when it comes to the BTW message. It is mainly about going through multiple rebirths in order to become the person you want to be, and not what other people want you to be. So if someone wants to undergo plastic surgery because it's a personal choice and need, then so be it. If a boy doesn't feel Ok in his skin and wants to become a girl, then let him become a girl. He was born this way.

BTW's message actually encourages change. The key is not to give a damn about others' opinions.

Finally someone that gets it!!

as long as you want to do it becuase its your own decision and not because of others pressuring you, then go ahead

if you people are going to treat the BTW message the other way, plastic surgery is no different than makeup, shaving a beard, getting a haircut or wearing clothes,

I always thought I'd get seriously annoyed or think her hypocritical, but at the end of the day I don't think I'd care too much, it's her body and she can do what she wants with it. I just hope she doesn't feel the need to or overdo it to the point she's unrecognizable or something, she doesn't need it.

Do you all know what the message of BTW was?  It wasn't necessarily literal with the phrase "born this way," as in "you are born how you are born and that's okay."  It can mean that if you want it to.  But Gaga explained the concept of being reborn numerous times.  The birth was not finite; it was infinite.  It means one can present themselves however they want, and that includes plastic surgery.  As RuPaul says about plastic surgery:  "I like [my body].  I'm going to decorate!"
