I'm afraid the artRAVE will be too similar to...

Who knows, Gaga's probably going to pull some totally random theme out of her butt for the tour--

like, for example, nothing musically in Born This Way had anything to do with medieval times and she set the whole thing in a giant castle. If she would have gone with her musical themes to make the set, it would have been set in a church or a biker bar or something. The Fame Monster had nothing to do with New York musically, or in any of her music videos, but The Monster Ball was set in NYC.

She'll probably take some obscure reference from one of her ARTPOP songs and build the whole tour scenery around that-- "Oh I have one song about Amsterdam, let's set it in a giant WINDMILL AND WOODEN SHOE!!" :derpga: Then her costumes and some props will be more alien or goddess related-- but we all know aliens and outer space weirdness are Gaga's trademark, she's been working that theme for forever. :)

tl;dr Give Gaga some props! She's very creative and probably will NOT be going with the glaringly obvious for her tour!

tbh it will look completely different to Kylie's tour, obviously i would imagine to be some greek mythology and seashell influences at the artRAVE tour, especially for the likes of Venus and G.U.Y. but Gaga's tour won't be as polished and squeaky clean as Kylies. I'm hoping that the name of Gaga's tour also has influences so it does have a lot of rave like influences during the show, crazy laser lights and strobe lighting, bright colours and UV paint.

I'm not a Kylie fan but once I saw this on TV and the stage and performance was amazing, I really liked it.

That's why I wouldn't mind it if CopyGa strikes again :teehee:

Agree! I think Gaga will be drawing from some similar themes, but her overall aesthetic will be quite different.

lmao since when has Gaga not hired designers for her tours? you think she does them herself? lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

i'm sure there will be some Greco-Roman theme to the tour, but it'll be much more in line with the artRave album release party and a lot less campy than Kylie's Aphrodite tour. Kylie isn't the first (nor the last) to play with Grecian themes.

"she can't hire some good ass graphic designers"

+ we know how lately she fired a lot of people trying to do everything alone which I understand 'cause I'm like that too. I love to do it all alone, but sometimes you just can't do it. Esspecially when you're a superstar and have 92389723 fans waiting to see what you came up with.

Well look at the BTWB.  Did we at all expect a castle to be on the stage?  The Greek God theme that Gaga has been influenced by may not even play a huge part at the artRave.  The fact that the concert will be a rave tells me that the show will be focused more on the music rather than the concept.  But who knows.  Gaga may very well use the Greek theme…  We'll just have to wait.

She will do the same. The only difference is that Gaga's is gonna look uglier and less proffesional 'cause she can't hire some good ass graphic designers and stage designers and artists and wants to do it all alone which is impossible.

Log out this is all wrong

but she HAS hired "SOME GOOD ASS" designers. the people she "fired" were business people, not creative minds. she often collaborates with creative people (designers, photographers, artists, producers, etc) and they become temporary members of the Haus. she's never intended for Haus members to be permanent employees. its an open/revolving door.

Schwerk

I love how Kylie uses live back-up singers to eliminate the need for a backing tracking.

Occasionally, she even interacts with Lucy and Roxy as if they were a girl band.

This is the only thing I didn't like about the BTWball. Gaga's backing tracks are so loud I could barely hear her.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

ugh this is what i fear too. its just such an overdone theme, gaga needs to really bring something fresh to it, and not make the stage and props look soooooo cliche and been there done that. kylie did it very well, but it was very on the nose. if i see columns at the artrave yeugh.....

I can only dream that one day Gaga will ever make a tour with the same production value as this.
