And it's a weak feminist track, Scheisse was a LOT better and catchier. I just don't find it easy for straight males to sing, it screams bottom anthem. The GP doesn't even know what a power bottom is. I didn't know what it was until I joined GGD. It isn't a universal word, so I doubt when the GP hears it, they will say this is a power bottom anthem, because most don't even know what the hell that is. Â With a killer video, choreography, and good live performances, G.U.Y. could do very, very well for the era. Although, we have no clue about any of those things yet. Recently it has been mixed with some electro genres including dubstep, but this genre is actually derived from southern Hip Hop music. Also Madeon did not produce Fashion!, it was Will I Am. So if you are going to get defensive about this, you better make sure you know your stuff first. Ok buddy I dont mean to offend you but somthing tells me your not exactly familiar with the electro genre. I appreciate what your saying but if you use the term EDM you almost automatically dont know what your talking about. Trap music is NOT it's own genre. It is a subgenre of Electro derived from dub step. The conundrum of ARTPOP is that all the sounds and sonic pallete is derived from things we have all heard before but that are placed in strange configurations that make is fresh and unique. such as madeons synth line in Fashion! Sounds very much like Daft Punks digital love, but is handled and arranged differently than it was back then. I'm an Avid electro fan have been since the early 2000s, MANiCURE is simply a rock/punk song mixed with girl power pop. Still, even the girls I work with who have the album just don't get the song. They ask me,"why does she want to be a guy??? Like Beyonce song If I WeRe a Boy?" It's just an odd song to sing along to.
