Cupid 760
Well Gaga has never put out what's "radio friendly" at the moment. Which is why she rose to fame in the first place So I'm not worried as long as single #3 is getting decent ordinary Gaga-single treatment.

EGOT2027 10,716
Radio-friendly is so confusing these days though. Currently you hear ballads and heavy EDM tracks all the time.

craig 680
I think experts were surprised Applause did as well as it did, and then that DWUW didn't do better.

Cupid 760
She herself said that the album is radio-friendly & every song was designed to be a hit. I know but it's Gaga we're talking about. Where's the video to every song, DWUW video with personal footage and ACT II. We have to take her words lightly Gaga has never been radio friendly (while her songs have been successful on radio, but thats a different thing)

GypsyPrince 237
I think experts were surprised Applause did as well as it did, and then that DWUW didn't do better. This shows that Gaga's single's success depends HEAVILY on the visuals she delivers for that particular single. The reason why Applause and all her other successful singles were successful was because she put in effort with the video and the performances. DWUW, sonically, was one of her better songs, but because she failed to deliver visually, the song didn't reach it's maximum potential. Which is why I have high hopes for whatever the next single is going to be because from the looks of it, she's no longer playing.
