VISION 52
I wasn't following Gaga very closely until this year, so I've never experienced some things that have happened in the past. 1) So what release was more exciting for you? TFM or BTW? I've read that the hype around BTW was unreal. 2) How did you feel when Bad Romance came out? It was the first Gaga change, so she must have been felt differently 3) The same for Born This Way single, where she completely changed her looks and sounds
djBuffoon 12,098
1) So what release was more exciting for you? TFM or BTW? I've read that the hype around BTW was unreal. Born This Way, because I liked her songwriting already but was waiting for it to take that turn into harder, really unusual territory. 2) How did you feel when Bad Romance came out? It was the first Gaga change, so she must have been felt differently I didn't like it at first. I didn't get it, the "ra-ra" hook turned me off, and her vocal inflections just sounded bizarre. Within a week, though, I saw the grave error of my ways. 3) The same for Born This Way single, where she completely changed her looks and sounds I was exhilarated, and over the moon. That video showed a primal and engaged side to her that I hadn't gotten from her before.
Bambino 24,139
1. BTW. She was literally everywhere. 2. I loved it. It was the only song I kept listening to for days. 3. I thought the horns were real But the single didn't have to grow on me. I loved it immediately.

No Angel 128
TFM was a weird day for me. I was in Science class freshman year waiting patiently to leave school to go get the album. I listened to it nonstop and it still sounds great! BTW was another weird day. I was a sophomore. It was the first I tried nutella, lol. And I had a presentation in English class. I made my mom buy it cause I could not wait. So when I got home, I had the album and nothing was the same tbh. Born This Way was more exciting, release wise. Everything was about Lady Gaga at that time. You could not escape her. Bad Romance changed my life. I hated it cause I thought the demo sounded awful, (I was here for Telephone, because that was when all the tracks were leaked) but the final version... my god. The BTW took a little time to warm up to, but I loved it. And the new look was totally interesting, but took some time to adjust to.
Jester 6,302
Bad Romance video left me shocked and speechless, I was shaking watching it for the first time The actual premiere of the song at McQueen's fashion show was flawless as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUvFTc2mlNY
Tycho 3,694
I was only really becoming a stan after TFM was released so there was HUGE hype for BTW! It was such an incredible experience first hearing the song Born This Way be premiered on LadyGaga.com and then ignoring the leak and listening to the album on full. It was truly liberating. Bad Romance slayed my life, I thought it was so beautifully shot and the song was really addictive. Pity it wasn't released in 1080p though. I loved the look change. We all strongly believed in eras and she clearly was taking her game to the next level each time. It was a little strange at first and it was annoying having to constantly tell people she didn't get implants but as a whole, the looks were pretty cool. :)
Tokyo Rose 1,475
1) So what release was more exciting for you? TFM or BTW? I've read that the hype around BTW was unreal. BTW by far. The Fame Monster didn't feel as hyped since we already heard many demos from the album 2) How did you feel when Bad Romance came out? It was the first Gaga change, so she must have been felt differently I think I preferred the demo at first. But the video of course was stunning. 3) The same for Born This Way single, where she completely changed her looks and sounds Born This Way was by far the most exciting Gaga moment for me! I listened to the song constantly for weeks, requested it on radio stations, etc. It was just an amazing moment in her career. And the radio premiere was spectacular! My heart was beating so fast. It was incredible
ALX 170
1. I've been on since mid 2009 and I think BTW was worse because people expected it sooner whereas TFM really came out of nowhere. 2. I remember the BR demo leaked way early and that was when everyone lost their **** from a visual perspective. 3. That was expected for BTW actually, hearing the song for the first time was a letdown after reading preliminary reviews of it. I still think it sounds like Express Yourself briefly in the chorus because I sang it the first time I ever heard the chorus. But it's whatever. My favorite era will probably be TFM
Stephen 30,419
BTW release was more hyped because it had been so long since she put out music. I disliked BR at first I kept listening to the demo but by a week after I loved the official version. I loved BTW's lyrics but the production took a while to get used to. Oscar 1,031
1) The hype was so much fun for BTW. She made it seem like we were expecting something divine with her album. 2) Bad Romance was incredible. My only complaint was that the song was too short. I replayed that song over and over, listened to hundreds of covers of it, listened to the instrumental multiple times...It's my favorite Gaga song still. I mean I listen to ARTPOP now more than Bad Romance but honestly, no other song made me feel as much as BR did. 3) It was a grower. I didn't think it was as complex as BR but now I think BTW is even more complex than BR. BTW reminds one of her best lyrical masterpieces.
Das2793 0
For me I was more excited for Born This Way because while I was already a stan with The Fame, a lot of demos had been leaked for TFM so I kinda had heard the songs (not all of them though). The first time I saw her perform Bad Romance was on SNL with the Poker Face medley thing, but once I heard that demo I fell in love and that was when I knew that she was my pop queen, it was so different and the beat was just amazing and I was in love. The hype behind BTW was big but to me it was worth it because I loved every song and that Anatomy of Change Mugler fashion video with Rick Genest and the DJWS remix of Schieße was amazing. The first time I saw the cover for the BTW single I was in love, her look, the horns and everything, BTW had extremely high fashion and artistic photoshoots for the booklet and promo. I'm starting to reminisce now lol

Bad 32
1) So what release was more exciting for you? TFM or BTW? Definitely Born This Way. Like you said, the hype was unreal.2) How did you feel when Bad Romance came out? It was the first Gaga change, so she must have been felt differently I was slayed by the demo, and then slayed again when the final version was released, and then slayed even harder by the video 3) The same for Born This Way single, where she completely changed her looks and sounds I was a little disappointed because it didn't live up to the hype, but I still liked it. I hated the looks though. Those horns were hideous.
Kanyeee West 2,204
1) So what release was more exciting for you? TFM or BTW? I've read that the hype around BTW was unreal. BTW , Cuz She Hyped it Like 1 Year Before Album Release and I was really Excited About Album. 2) How did you feel when Bad Romance came out?
