display name 4,360 Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 :clap: :clap: :clap: knowing that she is a pop artist with a big label behind her doesn't mean she needs to create on that basis. she doesnt even need to think about what will sell. thats her LABEL and Management's job. remember that guys it is their job to determine how to promote her vision to the world, but NOT to dictate it. that may be the case with any other basic chart hungry puppet, but not with gaga. I don't think she needs to do so, but I do think she pressures herself to do so. She spent years of her life by herself on the Lower East Side, just trying to make people see the star that she saw within herself. Then, "Just Dance" happened, and I can't even imagine the happiness she must have felt because of that. She certainly is not a puppet, but she is a girl who found success after years of hard work. I think it's natural for a person to want to hold onto such success. I'm just trying to think of the girl before she was with the big label. I don't think she's any different now from who she was then. She has always been in-tune with pop culture, and she has probably seen enough people fall to know that she doesn't want that to happen to her. It would seem she was giving into Born This Way's naysayers if she went back exactly. like "ohh sorry for moving too forward, and progressing. im oh so sorry my masters ill go back to making cutesy little dance bops about poker from now on, sorry my mistake". its like what ive been saying for months now, ARTPOP is not gonna be her born this way apology letter the way some might want her to. i just cant stand the notion that born this way was a detour from her "real" work and that afterwards shell go back to making music people will like more. that was never the case, if anything each album becomes more and more close to who gaga is at the core.
