YUNGKALIMXEL 0
A little J-Pop or K-Pop could work... Didn't she say Partynauseous had some J-Pop influences? I mean some of it, is REALLY good. Generic maybe, but catchy as hell. Don't like SNSD. The label gets other people to write and produce their stuff. That song isn't that good.

Oh well, I still love it And does that even really matter? I mean Britney doesn't write her stuff, Rihanna doesn't write her own stuff? Who honestly cares - their pop stars. As long as the final product sounds good, I could care less about where it comes from. Edited June 5, 2013 by Samuel
YUNGKALIMXEL 0
Totally, agree - Plus Asia would go nuts for it Actually, come to think of it - Oscar probably isn't the best representation of how J/K Pop works, it got a fairly western sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB9MwPK_Trw Animal is such a bop This was actually probably a Ke$ha demo. You know, cos of "animal" and everything. JK. That wasn't funny was it. But Run Devil Run was a Ke$ha song first, so I do have a point

It's the fact that the label doesn't even really create the music either. And most of the original creators aren't even credited and aren't allowed to be. But each to their own

Music is supposed to be a form of expression. If the person singing the song is not the person who wrote it, then it is hard believe that he or she is expressing those lyrics as they were meant to be expressed. I am here for people who truly feel what they are singing about. Gaga means every word of what she writes, and that is the one of my favorite things about her. Even if I did not like a certain song of hers, I would be able to appreciate the fact that the music came from her soul, not the soul of some random songwriter. I can not appreciate a person who is simply trying to profit off of the expression of another human being.

Alien Tulip 12,428
But we don't really know that do we It's pretty much realistic that we are getting the single in August. Missing out the VMAs would just be a stupid move if she wants an outrageous comeback. Plus fans need to stop having their hopes below the water about an album in 2014. She wouldn't delay the album til NEXT year. Just buckle up and wait

And I understand where your coming from - But I'm fairly shallow when it comes to Pop music, and I'm not ashamed about it. "Pop" as a genre in itself is all about superficiality - if my ears like what I'm hearing I'm not all that bothered about who wrote it, I just wouldn't call them "artists" exactly. Their Pop stars, that sing good pop songs and that's it. We're never going to get something raw, or personal from someone like Rihanna, but does that discredit her as an entertainer? Personally, I don't think it does... Obviously Gaga's an artist as well as Pop star, so I categorise her differently to most of her peers. But again, to each their own.
