Rainbowgynous 0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ5UQOMlEQo at 14:20 she starts talking about her involvement in gay rights/politics and how people always say artists should just "shut up and sing" as if they don't know what they're talking about - but she knows a lot about gay rights, she's bi, etc. Is anyone else worried maybe she doesn't know a lot about things she might talk about with a song like "burqa"? I just don't want her to tackle social issues for the sake of tackling social issues. People won't be on board if she starts talking about things she doesn't know about. Gaga researches these things....she did the same thing with Judas! BURQA will be another symbolic song that shouldn't be taken so literally. That's the problem the GP had with Judas! Gaga won't make the same mistake twice.... Do you seriously think she's dumb enough to put out a song she doesn't know much about? . This! Gaga knows everything about each one of her songs. Every last detail. b---h plz, she's a nerd, she'll research till judgement day before doing anything. Can't recall ever catching her in a moment of uninformedness when it comes to anything she does. Mars 2,335
Gaga will always be relatable as a fan, she has an extremely special connection with her fans and thats undeniable. To be honest we should all enjoy the act she puts on during interviews and appearances. She has always played the media at their own game. Gaga + LM = community Gaga + public = front And it always depends on the reporter/interviewer. Always has, always will. Ozzy8923 9
Some things need to be done about the arguments in here. I personally think Gaga adapts to a new persona per era, so the BTW personality could definitely [and most likely will] go away. I mean, I don't think she'll go back to being the way she was during TF, not that I want her to anyway.
Tera 2
You decide to get personal because you're dear Mother Monster is gone? lol the "Mother Monster" thing isn't over, that's just more fans' wishful thinking. It's like the fans who think we're getting "a new fanbase name for a new era": aliens "There will always be echos of Born This Way in everything I do" -Lady Gaga 2013 (Skype Interview)

Every era for her seems to be a message change up, and I expect ARTPOP to be the same in that sense

I mean, I don't think she'll go back to being the way she was during TF, not that I want her to anyway. I disagree. I think she's always remained the same person throughout her career. When I watch interviews for "The Fame" I still see the same personality. She admits she spoke a bit differently back then because she was uncomfortable, but I don't think there were ever separate "personas" for the albums. Different fashion, different themes to be explored, but not separate personas. People naturally change a bit over time. The Fame was 5 years ago. I'm sure if you look back at yourself 5 years ago you're different than now, that doesn't mean you adopted a new "persona"

I do agree that I don't think it's good that some fans want her to erase the entire BTW era/personality as if it never happened. I mean, if she does that, I'm sure she has her valid reasons and if she doesn't then more power to her. But, I don't think some people want it but they simply EXPECT it. There's a big difference. It's more of an assumption on my part, but I think it's valid.
