If it isn't a hit, I think that her superstar status will diminish significantly. Harsh but true. With BTW she became VERY gay-centric and I think that made her a "gay" act in the eyes of the general audience that had embraced her during The Fame era. Even Madonna had a good seven years before she started with the overt gay stuff so that's why today Madonna has plenty of straights that fill her concerts. Gaga NEEDS a hit as big as Bad Romance. If ARTPOP is solid she will have that fourth hit album that will really consolidate her career. They know the cards they have to play when it comes to the music and I think its going to be an amazing thing. She is going to have alot of people to win back over with ARTPOP but with quality music, performances, and music videos I can see ARTPOP being her biggest album yet. She already has the whole thing planned out, not its just down to executing it and making sure everything is strategicly in the right place at the right time. I think her team is going to spend lots of time making sure this album has it's fairshare of little monster Gem songs and radio friendly hits. She let us decide the 4th single and Marry the Night was winning on the poll (which was on GGD) and then she said on Twitter that she has been keeping on eye on our poll.
