She critized the american government cause they attacked Iraq (just to get the oil -.-) and since that point she started to flop on radio. Even some radio stations nowadays avoid playing her songs. And I think it's perfect because shes not going to be cock blocked by a lot of artists like with Born This Way! _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Adele is gone, and by the time ARTPOP is released "Skyfall" will begin to fade. P!nk, Xtina, Kesha and Rihanna, will have released thier albums, and will have second/third singles that will die down. One Direction is starting to slowly wrap up thier "Up All Night" era. Katy Perry is in between albums, and won't be on the charts for awhile. Madonna is DEAD tbh. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ So, I can't see a reason why ARTPOP wouldn't smash. No is Cockblocking her. A bunch of other albums will have had time to die down. She has an app to go along with the album. And she's focusing on more campy, fun, music instead of preachy! The fact that he's 18 years old just makes him a genius that is 18 years old which makes him even more applaudable. His work is actually incredible. Listen to his SoundCloud or even better yet YouTube his set at the Hackney Festival, trust me you won't be worrying about the outcome of ARTPOP. There is no doubt that she will still remain extremely popular and she is true to her craft just like gaga is. I do think however Adele as a whole public image is less observed than Gaga. She has big plans in her music and in her promo and her antics im pretty sure so ARTPOP will hopefully overall take the cake. I should also note that I like some of Adeles stuff and she is an amazing vocalist but I dont know if she can evolve and transform her sound the way gaga does and still remain wildly popular on the mainstream scale...am i making sense? lol Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, I like 19 way more than 21, because 21 is just crushingly depressing. But that resonated with a lot of people, since at this moment, there are way more breakups in the world than any of us realize! And when you're depressed from a breakup, all you want to do is listen to music and wallow until you get better. 21 was some of the best wallowing music this world has ever known. But Adele said that she's hoping to put out a happier album next, now that she's in love. So although 19 was certainly not a 100% happy album, it'll probably be a lot closer to that album's sound, which might not be as popular. It'll be great, and I'll love it, but I really don't think it'll be as popular, because it won't have as much of an emotional resonance. Adele does heartbreak best. Her voice is made for the blues. That's what people love her for. Gaga, although also supposedly putting out a happy album about "being in love" and "possibilities," has a skill for singing all kinds of music, not just the blues (and if made for anything, it's pop), and so when Gaga puts out a happier album, people will probably go a lot crazier over it than they would for Adele's version of a happy album. Gaga isn't as boxed in to a certain type of sound. I'm shocked that neither Rihanna's nor Ke$ha's new singles made it to number 1 right away, like Born this Way did. Are people getting bored of the same old pop sound? Gaga's going to do a crazy new sound with ARTPOP, so I hope we'll have another instant number 1 on our hands. To me, Highway Unicorn and Bloody Mary both have incredibly hard beats (and are some of Gaga's best in my opinion, especially BM -- the background bass line, not the pizzicato strings), but they don't have the 'grinding' sound that MTN, Scheisse, and HML have. Still great though. I fell in love with Government Hooker for its s-xy pulsing beat! To me it is one of my BTW favs. as far as the production/beat goes. On topic of ARTPOP, I really hope the new sound really is NEW. what is being put out by most artists now is so basic and literally everything is starting to sound the same on top 40 radio.
