Chucky 39
This just seems so ridiculous to me.... who cares?
Michael 533
Even Gaga can't persuade me to like Bieber and his fans, but I appreciate her sweet intentions <3
Rae 86
I don't understand the problem here?? Or maybe I'm missing something. I mean who cares what he did. All she did was just ask people to be sensitive to the situation. Not a kidney transplant. I understand that his behavior as of late has been unacceptable but you have to look at it from a different perspective. How would each of you feel if this were happening to you?? What if you had a problem with d--gs or alcohol, something you no longer had control over because the substance now controls you?? Wouldn't you want that unconditional support and help? I mean I know the smart approach would be to just ignore it and move on but we don't know what's going on in that boy's head. We cloud it with the whole 'he's being spoiled and thinks he's entitled to luxuries." No one knows what goes on in his head. Do I think it's right what he did? Hell no he messed up and needs to accept the consequences but to bash her for pledging sympathy. Seriously as little monsters, we've been acting like real monsters.r The part you got right. awpy 9
She's asking us to support the fans who, if you don't jump to conclusions, looked up to him and are probably upset about the situation. I don't support those who do support his actions, but there's no point in bashing anyone over this, especially when many of them are probably kids/pre-teens who can't quite come to terms with the fact that their idol has done something so wrong. Nowhere does she say that we have to condone his behavior ourselves. Of course there is no reason to condone his behaviour. From my point of view, why bother to get involved with another artists problems that may have impacts on your own image.
theredkilt 0
She didn't say it was good, she said, that we should support his fanbase because it's pretty hard for them. It's not like Bieber died in car crash and all the girls are hyperventilating and losing their sh!t. It's all so overblown. This is life, things happen, suck it up and move on. eventually of all his the teenage girls fans and casual gay twinks will jump on the 1D ship Edited January 23, 2014 by theredkilt

PatrickMonster 6,530
I admire her desire to change things for the better, but I can't fully support a fanbase that thinks it's totally cool for their idol to drive around so recklessly given the fact that drunk driving is a huge problem in this country and many lives are taken prematurely because of it. I don't hate them or anything, I just wish that Justin would wise up for the sake of his young fans, which some think that he didn't do anything wrong when it's a sea of wrong. I see both sides, like we want to remain civil but yeah. I'm not bent out of shape over it because gaga has a good heart and is trying to change things But it's not like every member of that fanbase thinks that what Bieber did is cool. Of course we shouldn't support those Beliebers. We should support those that might feel heartbroken right now, and enlighten those who think there's nothing wrong with Bieber's actions... Every fanbase has members that are kind of... stupid or ignorant, so we shouldn't treat them like its a homogeneous group of people...
Batwings 12,885
I understand why Gaga made a statement, though I personally wish she'd stayed out of it. I won't support Beliebers, but I'm not going to openly bash them either. I'm not a fan of Justin, and their business is their business.

It's harder for them to just "suck it up". They don't get that it's not that big of a deal...

awpy 9
I don't support his actions at all, but I support his fans who are probably going through a hard time and trying to make sense of all this. Also this: Me too - From my view I doubt they're having a hard time with tissues, sorry it's his problem. And you can't tell me it's not expected lately.. hardly a great role model. Whispering 18,865
I don't support his actions at all, but I support his fans who are probably going through a hard time and trying to make sense of all this. Also this: I feel the same. Justin has a lot of fans who are really young and terribly disappointed at this moment. Supporting Justin and supporting his fanbase (the ones who are being realistic and are hurting) are two entirely different things. It's hard for young kids, when their Idol crashes before their eyes. Some of them are having problems making sense of it all. Many of them are young, heartbroken and confused- a little kindness couldn't hurt. nonowoo 0
Why can't she just keep quiet about these social issues that don't matter to her at all? I don't understand why she bothers making a comment during a time where majority of people don't take her serious at all, people will take it the wrong way and she gonna get backlash for misinterpretation by the media...
