I thought it was really surprising that Dean himself actually told Sam about his deal about Amara in the Qareen episode (Love Hurts). I thought it was going to be another source of animosity between them.

I was thinking about that as I was typing it, I do recal there being one moment where they didn’t drag it out for a whole season, and he straight up told him. Sadly it fell into the same traps later on.

Like the second Dean told Sam to wait till her got back, I knew for a fact Sam was going to do something stupid, and he did (going into the cage).

I know that part yeah but Dean was being stupid getting diverted by Amara. But although it looks like just another betrayal thing, I appreciated it because it explained why Sam was acting more like Dean instead of himself about removing the Mark of Cain and not paying heed to the consequences because of his deep-rooted guilt about trying to escape the life with Amelia instead of trying to look for Dean.

-I’m just hoping that with the next season they try to move the characters in new directions, make them grow, make them not make the exact same mistakes and go through the same cycles they have been for the last 11 seasons. It’s tiring.

I knew you were over yonder but I didn’t know if it was for a specific purpose.

Supernatural is something that I usually watch a season and then wait a month or so before watching the next one. I finished 11, so I would imagine 12 will be added to my watch list within a month or so.

11 started strong, very strong but then fell into the same recycled storylines. I’m tired of them constantly hiding secrets from eachother every single episode, im tired of them making decisions to save one another and mustering hundreds of people in the process. The show needs new writers if it hopes to remain fresh at this point.

Its still entertaining for sure, still want to watch the whole series, but it’s past the point of cliche and to the point where I question how it’s still going with the literal same storylines each season. I’m not seeing any character development.

And you’d think Lucifer would actually be scary.

Season 12 and 13 will feel better on the secret-front. There are some secrets but they're mostly resolved in 2-3 episodes and sometime even within the same episode. Happened during season 13 recently in fact. I though, oh boy here we go again, but at the end of that same episode the brothers opened up. That was refreshing.

Regarding Lucifer I'm afraid he's still not menacing although he does have some good parts here and there.

Not character development per se but, at least for the first handful of episodes of season 13, Sam has been greatly improved. Dean is still the same but I liked that the writers made the audience disagree with Dean for a while.

Yeah, basin S13 has been great so far so I hope you'll enjoy it too. I'm not gonna hype it for you though because you shouldn't be hyped, but as a fan it feels comfortable watching episodes again without the constant worrying of the writes ****ing things up.

Thank gosh. It just blows my mind that the characters are always stuck in the same loop.

Literally whenever I think they are going to stop making the same recycled storylines and plot lines...
