never understood the diference btw tbh and I love these genres :smh:

like EDM stands for electronic dance music but house is also electronic music that people dance to ... like there are so damn many genres that in the end one song could be 10 genres at ones :smh:

House is part of EDM. EDM is just one big term. When you say EDM most people think of Progressive House which is one edm genre but there is tons of others aswell

I haven't been chart watching in awhile.. Updates?

Does Rihanna have another single out yet/where is her album?

On a side note, low key rooting for Britney just because of the novelty factor of her being around still.

Oh i thought BBHM and AO were promo songs or something. Weird that her album is MIA. I feel like she's messy right now.. But that's just a random observation. Havent really followed her era.

Thanks gurl :)

Gary Trust's opinion =/= Billboard's opinion =/= universally accepted opinion for it to be regarded as a fact

Billboard's Jason Lipshutz, along with the other writers across the world, including from the Billboard equivalents like OCC and ARIA (from the links I've posted weeks ago about this same debate), had 'Bang Bang' counted as the lead single from Jessie J's album and not from Ariana Grande's album, both when the collaboration of the three was being announced and when the single was dominating the charts. If only they've promoted 'Bang Bang' as a single from Ariana Grande's album too right from the start, and not just as a featured song on the deluxe version (and OLT wasn't promoted by various media outlets as the 4th single from ME), this debate (or confusion) wouldn't have existed at all.

It was reported several times to be both Jesse's lead single & a single from My Everything's era cycle.

Just because it was credited as Jesse J's lead single doesn't make the statement of it being an Ariana single too any less valid, as the song itself is a duet.

Credits :

Single by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj
from the album Sweet Talker and My Everything.

They're under the same label umbrella which considers the song to be a shared single respectively from both album cycles, and that's enough to include it as a 'My Everything' single.

The only reason why it wasn't approached as a single from My Everything at first was because the tracklist for ME wasn't revealed yet, when the album came out it was automatically included as a single.

On top of that, Ariana's promotional team and media coverage always have approached it as an Ariana single as well, now its assured since BB articles and other European (and Middle Eastern) media reports reported it as indeed an Ariana single.

& that's leaving aside the fact that Ariana was unquestionably the main reason for the song's commercial appeal, success and radio exposure.

The powerhouses (Katy/Beyonce/Lady Gaga/Miley) also all don't have singles out right now. Can't say the US is over them without anything to track. Once they begin putting out singles can tell a bit more.
