If we only count her #1 albums strictly as a solo, then she only has two (2011's BTW and 2013's AP). TF, as the 2009 re-release w/ TFM, peaked at #2 thanks to the media fever overĀ Susan Boyle in late 2009. TFM, the standalone EP, debuted and peaked at #5 with 174,000 on the same week Boyle's debut album opened with 701,000. The combined album sales for the EP and the TF re-release for that week though were around 325,000 - which wasĀ enough for her to hit #1, well onlyĀ ifĀ Boyle didn't release her albumĀ +Ā if TF and TFM's sales were counted as one from the very start. But whatever, TF+TFM eventually sold more anyway and even won the GRAMMY over Boyle's debut, making its #2 peak simply trivial.Ā Ć¢ā¬ā¹It's so sad to hear what the industry has become. Like back in 2009 Gaga debuted at Ā NUMBER 5 with almost 200,000 in sales. Fast forward to 2015 and we have Kelly Clarkson hitting NUMBER 1 with less than 100,000....sooo sad.
