If you can listen to an album for free legally why would you try to download it illegally. That is why more and more artists make their full albums available on Youtube, Spotify and other streaming services. I use Spotify. Its free with some ads thrown in. On you tablet or PC you can choose the song or album you want to hear. On your cell phone you can only hear an artists full collection of songs on shuffle. It also counts towards the album sales of the artist on Spotify. 1500 streams per = one album sale. Youtube doesn't count towards album sales, but it does count towards digital single certification by RIAA. 100 streams = one unit. So 100,000,000 equals a Platinum digital single certification. That's if the record company ever decides to get their act together and pay for the certification.
