Ray of Light 8,134
Agreed. 1989 is a perfectly crafted pop album. Addictive but still emotional. Fun but still has depth. Every song could be a single because there are no fillers. Minus that vicious How You Get the Girl
Pop 4,541
Compare it to non-outlier data points and realize Taylor is slaying without trying. Everything is a flop compared to 21. But everyone except Adele is a flop compared to Taylor so. And the radio definitely plays things out of obligation. They don't pick songs to play from albums and then the artist is like "well I guess that will be a single now." Once it's actually released it will be played a lot more over say, Blank Space and Shake It Off because it's "current." Agreed. But let's just allow Taylor to do her magic. She's already slaying and the single isn't even released. The reciepts will make the haters seethe even more when the song goes in full impact. I only brought it up to counter your argument that the album sales will affect the single sales. That isn't the case. In a way they do play songs they like. That literally happened with Dark Horse. Interesting Billboard article on that situation here: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/5819941/katy-perry-rides-in-on-a-dark-horse-her-aptly-titled-unexpected :)
Klou 2,414
OP is incorrect. It's at around 50M AI right now unless you're referring to Nielsen Soundscan?
Pop 4,541
Minus that vicious How You Get the Girl What? That song is such a flawless feel-good bop. I have it set as my alarm to wake me up in the morning. The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
DanMonster 185
Style has to be my favourite from the album and its all of my friends' favourite as well! I'm happy for her. The album is really great!

Since those numbers are technically yesterday's numbers, yes, Style DOES have 50M A.I

Arturo 40,746
What kind of slayage? That is both good and bad. Good because the song is obviously going to be a big radio hit. Bad because a future #1 should not be #10 with 50M A.I (or #11 since Truffle Butter is selling more with both versions)
