I mean she is isnt a good vocalist, she can't dance, her music is very basic and generic with no depth or meaning so what makes her so special? Lorde is not even a "standard pop girl" (where singles count the most) so I don't see the point in including her. She's like Coldplay - an alternative band who are sometimes dipping their toes in more "commercial sound" and score a mainstream hit. (Like Viva la vida, paradise and Sky full of stars) Coldplay is the most commercially successful band of the past 15 years. "Alternative" rock is now the generic mainstream.
