MelbHawker 6,583
Telephone is what made her into a Pop Icon.
MikeyMoonShine 0
She was just talking about the song itself, not the video :) No she was talking about the video. Ofc she likes the song she baught it back off britney remember. "I hate it so much," she told Time Out. "Beyonce and I are great together. But there are so many ****ing ideas in that video. "All I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas - and I wish I had edited myself a little bit more." Read more at http://www.nme.com/news/lady-gaga/56957#iM8r8mZSyw8y7UyW.99 Many assumed she meant the song but it's just the vid she doesn't like which is a shame. Telephone is what made her into a Pop Icon. No, Poker Face made her a pop Icon and Bad Romance (song and video) gave her allot more critical acclaim so did the Telephone vid tbf but it's more of a fan favorite. I strongly disagree. She became a Pop Star with Poker Face. Bad Romance intensified her popularity but the day the Telephone Video dropped she became a Pop Icon. She broke the internet and it was the first time anyone had done so. The video saw her become a Pop Phenomenon.
Judas Oyster 1,927
No she was talking about the video. Ofc she likes the song she baught it back off britney remember. Do you remember which interview it was? Maybe Im wrong but I remember something about that if she had to drop a song, she would drop Telephone. And I always understood that because its pure autotune and mainstream, and then I was thinking she ment that it is one of her worst songs musically. Vernier 3,786
That list is a ****eous list of epic proportions that words cannot accurate describe :sweep: Good to see Telephone and Toxic getting recognition But as far as I'm concerned Paparazzi and Judas>>Telephone in terms of quality imo. Not sure why the former vid is so underrated. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

Maybe Im wrong but I remember something about that if she had to drop a song, she would drop Telephone. And I always understood that because its pure autotune and mainstream, and then I was thinking she ment that it is one of her worst songs musically. Um well I quoted what she said in the reply "I hate it so much," she told Time Out. "Beyonce and I are great together. But there are so many ****ing ideas in that video. "All I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas - and I wish I had edited myself a little bit more." Read more at http://www.nme.com/n...8mZSyw8y7UyW.99 I cba to find the original interview but I assume it was with Time Out. She may have also said that about the song (I dunno ) But it's the video she said she hates. She may have just liked other songs on TFM allot better plus she was changing back then completely, Telephone is very early fame era.
MelbHawker 6,583
That's just because it was really anticipated after the btw vid (and earlier vids) plus it was late. The BTW vid? .. Gurl we need to learn our eras. Nah Telephone video saw music video go back to being something of 'event' status/release. No-one had done that in Pop since Michael Jackson. It was amazing. Shadow 6,640
Darn, Canada loves Telephone, but fails to at least acknowledge Bad Romance? Still cool, though. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
codymonster 8,698
Canada used to play the Telephone video ALL the time on TV. :legend:

Nah Telephone video saw music video go back to being something of 'event' status/release. No-one had done that in Pop since Michael Jackson. It was amazing. Sorry I meant the BR (Bad Romance) vid As I said I think fans think the Telephone vid was a bigger thing than it was because they love it so much. The BR vid has move views on Youtube The BR vid had more media coverage The Telephone was big also but it only solidified the status she got after Poker Face and then Bad Romance. That status release thing while true was again there because of previous video's. People new Gaga would deliver something amazing so there was anticipation, then a delay so more anticipation then it was released and it was brilliant so there was an internet explosion.
