Addy Ezzie 2 Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Wow this is so cool, and almost identical to my story, only with metal instead of indie - how did you feel when you realised you were becoming a fan? was it kind of weird? It felt really strange for me. It was definitely weird. I didn't dare telling anyone cause I was afraid to become "mainstream"... I couldn't believe I was starting to love someone who was making music that I would never have listened to before. But it was for the best, because Gaga has opened my eyes to other genres (pop music, mostly). Even though for me, an artist who doesn't write or compose his/her own songs is not a true artist. I couldn't believe it either, it was pretty confusing - but like you say - she's also opened my eyes to pop (and EDM) - and the whole transition has been really quick.
