I like Emma but...its not our fault that we don't know what's going on with Gaga. I'm not one of the critical ones, I think ARTPOP is very successful. But some of the mods here kind of have an attitude, and its not our fault Gaga acknowledges you and not us? I don't want to say it but I think some people will know what I'm thinking, and I'm happy Emma has met Gaga and "knows" her, and Gaga paid for your surgery, you really deserve it you're so nice, but like all of us deserve it. You're just lucky.

I understand Gaga. I work in a restaurant, and today one lady called a manager and me and started saying what I was suppossed to do, and how everything is done,  just like what we all tell Gaga....   It was a little bit of a constructive critics, but she could've been silent because my service wasn't bad at all, and people like it.  Criticism hurts no matter how good/bad it is. I cried a little bit, but then got stronger. Imagine how much bull**** Gaga hears and reads. That wasn't a good decision to read forums for Gaga at first tbh

what.. Where have you been the past few months.

Right here. Enlighten me, please. How does ultimately making her own decisions and letting go of those she doesn't work well with anymore (and remember that we really don't know much else about why those people left or were fired), or speaking out against unnecessarily harsh negativity imply that she's an ego-maniac who can't handle any type of criticism?

I feel like the forum is teared in two parts , on one side, the critics and on the other, the stans.

 

I mean, I am such a huge fan, but, I do not agree on where her career is going. It's a shame that I read ideas for her that are actually better that what she is doing. And I think this is where the disappointments comes from ; We don't feel like Gaga is outdoing herself. I don't feel she is giving me the very best of what she can give. 

 

I'm sorry, don't say your APP is a jewel when it's only a basic giff maker. I know a thousand people who had such A-MA-ZING ideas for the APP. Yes, it might not be the final product, but still... Its dissapointing

But she is changing, and so am I. She might be attracting a different public, which I less fit in. It is hard, but so what... I can't do nothing about it, except talk with people who understand how I feel, and there are a lot on GGD. You need to understand that I do not talk about Gaga on real life. This is the only place I can express my feelings and discuss about her and be sincere. If sincerety can not be permited here anymore because I am not a optimist and see flaws in what she is doing...then too bad.

 

I hate the climate here, it's miserable. It makes me sad. 

 

I know you might not approve, but if we felt Gaga was right, maybe there would not be this whole negativity situation. I mean... it is frustrating for fans like us to see her being so badly managed. We sometimes would do better, and yes, I am sorry, I totally mean it.

 

Plus, this is a very quiet period, we are clueless about what is going on. So that doesn't help either.

 

Hope I will not be publicly bashed for this post which is, ladies and gentlemen, my sincere thought about this situation on GGD.

I agree with Gaga tbh.

 

And I think it's not the critics itself, it's the way people express it. There's a huge difference between "in my opinion, this song would be better if .../It's not my taste" etc. and "this song is ****" etc., I mean come on - music, art and fashion is ALWAYS totally, completly subjective. There's no "right" or "wrong", it depends on the way you look on it, hear it etc. ...

 

Overall, in my opinion there are too much negative vibes here. I think there is a lack of gratitude, positivity, politeness and optimism tbh. I can totally understand that Gaga doesn't want to read this forum anymore and I think we should all try to make this place better.

I think that the user's point was just delivered in a really terrible way. However, he has a point with how ever since she stepped into the game she did have influence over other pop stars. Look at their videos before and look at their videos now, suddenly everyone is trying to be all artistic and deep on us with crazy outfits and wigs. That used to be what made Gaga stand out from the crowd, those unusual outfits and wigs and ever since everyone began doing that the tables have turned and Gaga had to constantly overdo herself in order to keep original and unique and I think she's in a state of fatigue currently where she thinks she's done trying.

 

That was really off topic but I really see where he's coming from so..

There's nothing wrong with disappointment. I'm sorry you feel like you can't express that - I really don't think it's the intention here. The issue isn't criticism itself, but how it's conveyed.

 

whoever this Emma person is needs to get over herself. I don't know how or why she feels its necessary to speak for

Lady Gaga but the irrelevance is growing. Then its even more pathetic that she only used Gaga's name to make people feel bad for expressing their true opinions.

I'm not going to apologize for being honest and I'm not going to feel bad that a multimillionaire music artist has thin skin. I hope no one let's an immature and petty person's whining stop them from voicing their opinion, it's your right to say what's on your mind.

I don't know her personally, but I feel the need to defend Emma in all of this, because she seems like one of the nicest people on GGD. She speaks "for" Gaga because she's a haus member. What she said is apparently what Gaga has told her. She's closer to Gaga than most of us for several reasons and seems to have a more personal connection because of that, so it's natural for her to be upset. Don't blame her for that.

...it's also definitely everyone's right to have and voice an opinion, whether it's positive or negative, but again, no one should have the right to be disrespectful or insensitive & use criticism as an excuse to invalidate any work Gaga has put into the album/era, regardless of her having $$$ or "thin skin."
