That's exactly where the problem lies here.  I've said it before and I'll say it again; contrary to what this forum thinks I have given her constructive criticism on numerous occasions so no, I don't like everything she does and no, she doesn't surround herself with all "yes" people.  It may appear that way on the outside but I have seen it firsthand.  You don't know the whole story.

 

The key is respect.  It is one thing to give constructive criticism but it is quite another to flat-out disrespect her.  

 

I think the thread should be updated with this post so that more people can see it. I've been noticing that Gaga has been acting more defensive lately- from the DWUW media theme to her criticism of corporate music and her frustration with a lot of "critics". Combined with the recent dismissal of Troy Carter and the statement on her not visiting the site anymore, the conclusion that she's surrounding herself with yes-men is a very easy one to make if you had not shared this piece of information.  :)

The song I heard the most in Gaga career are not even singles.

The albums i listen to no stop are the ones who have sold less.

But when a people call me an asshole because I express the disapointment about this era organisation and timing i just question myself who the real asshole is.

She won't face criticism? And after we see her whining on twitter because nobody like and bash her ARTPOP?

Or exploding of rage against PEREZ when she said that the guy is irrelevant?

Or when she swaps single when iTunes prefere DWUW on VENUS?

And wasn't her that told us that the only one who can criticise are fan and critics?

What if your employer or teacher wrote long ass negative comments and complaints about you every day, calling you lazy or saying you wanted to throw your life away? What if you saw those same comments on your twitter feed and on your facebook? What if you were criticized for wearing a plaid shirt to a movie or for taking a few days off at Christmas time to be with friends and family you hadn't seen in weeks? What if everyone at your school and/or work constantly criticized every movement you made, wanted you to be perfect and nothing you did was ever enough? They always wanted bigger and better and more, more, more from you. 

 

And all of this came at you every day, 365 days a year, year after year. How easy would that be for you to ignore?

 

Gaga may be a pop star, but she is a real live human being. Many fans forget this or they just don't care. She has a heart and mind that she has to protect from time to time. That's what she is choosing to do at this point. I'm surprised she hasn't done it sooner!

This is all stupid. Gaga needs to know we'll love her anyway whether or not we criticize her. It's part of the job and she should've known that when she tried so hard to get it.

And as for Radio ARTPOP, I like Emma. It's other monsters that I really don't know why they're so popular.
