The first half is a very good album, not sure about the second but I like the bonus tracks. Femme Fatale is much better tho.

Critical reviews have never meant anything.  They review the albums that best stick with the trends.  Right now it's hot to be an indie or alternative artist, so those tend to be the critically acclaimed albums.  If you make a pop or dance album, you'll get a bad review by default.

And some thought it's a flop and boring.

Even though this is her strongest album vocally since her debut?

It just goes to show she has an extremely limited range then

And...? Was Britney known for ever having an amazing range? No.

Somebody not having a huge range does not make somebody a bad singer. What kind of ridiculous logic? She doesn't sing the type of music where she needs a huge range.

Agree they gave about 61/2 to blackout and in the zone. Which are perfect. But they gave 78 to Fame Monster.

Man, it sucks to see that so many people think Britney Jean sucks :/

It kind of hurts actually cause I really love Britney, like I stan more for her than I do Gaga ( but it's pretty close), and seeing what people write about it really is a downer.

I honestly, don't care if she doesn't perform, I don't care if she did, cause I've been stanning for her since the beginning and I really found it hard watching her in 2007. So in a cliché way, I'm just happy she is pretty much alive, has her kids, seems to have an ok mental state that allows her to keep doing music, cause I know she loves doing music, it's all she's known. So she has to like it, or want to do it. Same as the dancing, even if she doesn't do either as good as she used to.

I personally LOVE Britney Jean.

ALL OF THIS  :worship2:  :worship2:  :worship2:

The album cover for blackout fits perfectly with the music, HORRIBLE

In my opinion, she has to retire herself after Vegas, for a while, 4-5 years and decide if she wants to do the POPstar, the very popstar that we know and no the zombie that walk without energy at the Femme Fatale tour.

She still has a name to defend, I don't wanna see her doing Pitbull songs or crap like this for money...!

Before there was Gaga there was Britney. Is so sad to see how she ended up. I wish her the best of luck and I hope that if she feels like retirement is the best thing to do, then she'll do it.

But Britney Jean is a mess. Alien & Perfume are the only good songs on the album in my opinion. I don't see how people are giving it higher scores than ARTPOP.

I like that distance.

One of the most interesting aspects of Britney Spears is that she comes off as a machine. And that fascinates me. She claims the album to be personal, but there will always be this wall between her and the world. And that wall will forever keep me intrigued. I would die to learn the inner workings of Britney Spears' mind, the human behind the oh-so-artificial pop star.

Britney Jean, instead of shedding that wall, only reinforces it. And, for me, that's great. I don't want to lose my fascination with Britney. If she bared all, I would have nothing to learn about her, nothing to speculate. It'd be a borefest.

And as for Britney herself, I still think she's a fantastic pop star. She looked so beautiful and fierce in the WB video. Proved to me why she's still so amazing. As for there being no ''passion'' on Britney Jean, I don't really see what people are rambling on about.

Britney has been a product since the beginning of her career. Especially in her peak years, the years that everyone claims to remember so fondly. So I honestly don't see why that would be an issue now.

This is a really wonderful post. :)

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
