heavymlover 340
Why did the other site report 45k? I guess it's better than expected. It's been a bad year for pop artists sales-wise, probably with the exception of Miley Cyrus, so I guess 120k is ok.

gagaisitalian 3,573
Britney has always been a glorified cheerleader. Her dancing skills are really not notable. Janet Jackson and Ciara are just two examples that make Britney look like an embarrassment. And Britney's career trajectory is not all that impressive. She was the most successful with her first two records and then suffered disastrous drops with everything that came after. Her fans like to hold on these decade-old records and call her a legend because of it, but the truth is after those first two records she never had anything but tabloid headlines to keep her relevant. Britney sold 745,000 copies in it's first week. In The Zone sold 609,000 copies in it's first week. Blackout (during a huge media breakdown) sold over 100,000 copies and was #1 for it's week of release. And then of course Circus came in and saved the day selling over 500,000 copies it's first week. Sorry, but only her first two records were successful? Also, note that albums sales decline each year no matter who you are. So 500,000 from 2009 would have most likely been 700,000 in 2003.
