so this means no matter how full the venue is at the australian gigs, only 50% of those people actually paid for their spot. that is pretty dire.

No. The leg was already at at least 60-70% tickets sold, so the highest possible would probably be 15-20% of the people that didn't pay (actually payed half of the extremely high ticket price. Half of the Australian ticket is comparable to one US ticket).

According to a Gaga fan Facebook page in Turkey who called the ticket seller and the organizator says 30k tickets have bern sold so far. Part of me wants to believe this but it seems so unreal.

I'd love to believe it, but it's probably a lot less :toofunga:

There's a lot of opportunities to do some promo this week in Australia... I thought Bobby Campbell would be good enough. Apparently, it's not really what I thought...

Bobby and Gaga already got their money.

What he doesn't get is that this is bad PR for Gaga. In an English-speaking country you need to sell out with no deals like that. Else it's embarassing. It's also unfair for the people who already got their ticket.

Will the Australian shows be empty? :ohno:

Nope.

First Sydney and Melbourne will look packed

Brisbane will look packed

Perth will look okay, not packed (more like most US shows looked like, although they were sold out)

second Sydney will look packed, because they'll curtain some parts

second Melbourne will look packed, because they'll curtain off some parts.

Yeah GA tickets here are $170 (Aussie - so about $150-$160US). I paid under $100US for both GA tix in the US. But then our A res tix are slightly cheaper....I also paid $170 Aussie for my A res tix and I paid US$230 for A res tix in the States....

Depending how Gaga's next album does (in Australia) she shouldn't go there next tour.... So in a couple years when she has huge demand she can go back

That's fine, she can skip Australia with C2C. I'll go to the US to see a show anyway. :p

Yeah I wonder if so much travel is good for him, but I assume he has been advised that he's good to travel. Cool that he still can really.

Yes  :whip: spankies for you naughty boy. :p

Yay!

But will the gross be good tho? With the new deal she's gonna lose some coins.

Yeah it will look fine. I doubt any date will get below 10k tickets sold or 1M gross

What do you guys think is going to happen for this C2C tour? It seems like it is going to happen, with Gaga saying things about performing jazz the next time she comes back to Japan. Tony's on tour right now (I found out when I saw a poster advertising his gig in my city), so I've looked up his schedule and he's almost completely American based, touring all over the country at small concert halls and casinos. He's doing UK gigs in Glasgow, Birmingham and London, one in Ireland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and Belgium, but I think that's pretty much it. The only arena he did was the Austrian date, surprisingly. He did Asian dates (China, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines) and Latin America dates (Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil). He did do Australian and extensive European ones, but that was in 2012. If he tours with Gaga, it's going to be quite difficult to predict demand as it's hard to say exactly how many Gaga fans would be willing to pay to see her perform jazz covers with a man they know very little about and how many Tony fans would be willing to pay to see him perform classics with a popstar who's known for her crazy outfits and attention seeking. Especially considering both artists will have just wrapped up their own solo tours. How much money would both sides fanbases have? I'm sure there'd be no arenas, for one thing. I'm sure it would be small concert halls, theatres and casinos and maybe MSG because they're both from NY. Only one date per city/country, though I'm sure. I don't think Gaga will want a long tour after just finishing one and Tony's a bit old for lots of travelling outwith his own country.

I hope they at least hit the Royal Opera House like Bjork did for her Vespertine Concert DVD. That place was magical~~

Tony mentioned playing jazz festivals, which would be a good move in my  opinion. However I hope they do a couple of theatre shows in the UK too.

The Royal Albert Hall would be a great venue for them

This is a decision made by Live Nation. Bobby doesn't have the power to put something like this in motion.
