Dangerous Man 9,245
They are good - it's not unusual to miss the 1 million mark with the occasional show. Rihanna, Katy, Taylor, etc. have all had many NA shows that have grossed under 1 mil but still been successful. I don't get why some people are disappointed with the Edmonton show - that attendance is at maximum capacity and the gross was one of the highest. I don't get why she couldn't play at the XL Center in Conneticut instead of the teeny Mohegan Sun Arena because she'd sell it out for sure. Oddly enough, everyone going to Conneticut seems to be going there now, even artists that are huge. I just don't understand it when there's a bigger arena in the capital, which is a much more populated city and therefore, likelier to sell. Yeah, they missed a lot of opportunity. But I am fine with that. There must be a good reason for that. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

I agree, the CT show and the Lake Tahoe show are a waste imo.. She could've done shows in bigger venues like you pointed out. Instead of going to Lake Tahoe, NV she could've gone to an actual arena like the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
StrawberryBlond 13,331
I agree, the CT show and the Lake Tahoe show are a waste imo.. She could've done shows in bigger venues like you pointed out. Instead of going to Lake Tahoe, NV she could've gone to an actual arena like the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Â Well, the Vegas shows are a bit different, as she's doing an additional 2 shows in the state, at a proper sized arena. I figured that she's perhaps got a very concentrated fanbase in the Stateline region and wanted to give them an intimate performance. Doing a small arena over a large arena is a completely different matter, though, as is the case with Uncasville. The only reason I can think of is that as the Mohegan Sun is part of a casino and attracts tourists, the theory is that there'll be extra demand...but if that's the case, why not do two shows? I mean, I think she's doing 3 shows in Vegas because of the big tourist angle as well. My biggest issue is that she left out really obvious midwest regions, especially the ones in Missouri...but this only fuels my hope that she will extend the tour to cover Act II and this is when she'll tour those regions that she missed out as the snub seemed way too big. It's maybe decided that there's many states that she can return to and sell out if the tour makes a return (NY, CA, FL, PA) but there's plenty that won't have as much demand the second time (most of the conservative, southern states especially). So, I think she'll just leave the likes of Tennessee, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Kentucky, Nebraska, etc. for next time. I think she's limiting her Asian gigs so demand is through the roof when she makes a proper return and tours the continent properly. Same with Latin America and Africa. And as for Europe, I really hope she adds that long overdue Finland show. It looks ridiculous when she's going to every major Scandanavian country except Finland. I know, ARTPOP didn't sell that well in the country, but Katy's and Miley's albums sold even worse and they've got a gig there. Though Gaga did say something on twitter like: "Don't worry, Finland, we'll meet again." So I hope it might be a really last minute thing when the European leg is drawing close. Houdini 103
Â Â Those all sold out except Atlanta. All shows besides Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg were not sold out. The attendance in some cities were 2K to 4K lower than other artists with the same stage configuration.
Biagio2103 4,858
Probably she didn't grossed one million per show because of GA, all the shows had big hollows there, I don't know why they didn't add more tickets... The only date that is ok under one million is Uncasville, the reason is obvious. I'm only good at being bad

The attendance in some cities were 2K to 4K lower than other artists with the same stage configuration. Give it a rest BB&T Center: Gaga: 12,977/12,977 JT: 12,629 / 12,629 Katy: 12,014 / 12,014 Beyonce: 12,269 / 12,269 Verizon Center: Gaga: 14,866/14,866 JT:Â 14,816 / 14,816 Rihanna:Â 14,339 / 14,339 Wells Fargo Center: Gaga:Â 15,424 / 15,424 JT:Â 15,027 / 15,027 Rihanna:Â 15,095 / 15,095 Mohegan Sun Arena AND Madison Square Garden had like 10 tickets left hours before the shows We also had pictures of Viejas Arena with less than 50 tickets available hours before the show. And 9,300 matches up with Gaga's Monster Ball show at the same venue where she played to 9,600 with a MUCH smaller stage.
Houdini 103
Madison Square Garden:BB&T Center: Verizon Center:Wells Fargo Center: Â Yes those shows were great success but ones in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland and St. Paul had hundreds of tickets left. Arturo 40,746
Yes those shows were great success but ones in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland and St. Paul had hundreds of tickets left. You initially claimed that only the 3 Canadian shows she's played so far were sold out, so I proceeded to prove to you that another 6 U.S shows were at full capacity for a Gaga concert.  We know Atlanta wasn't sold out. Pittsburgh and Detroit were all on the verge of selling out until a ton of new tickets were added to each show with rear views. I'm sure other artists sold those out, leading to much bigger reported capacities. Gaga didn't sell those. But since those tickets were added much later in a last ditch attempt to make more $$$, it was still fair to label those shows as "sold out" since the initial tickets had sold out. Now, that I look at it, you are correct, St. Paul was in fact not sold out either. Dangerous Man 9,245
Whatever, it is already posted in Billboard so your opinions about not selling out is invalid and non sense. The attendance in some cities were 2K to 4K lower than other artists with the same stage configuration. I think that Uncasville, New York City, San Diego and San Jose were also sold out initially. But we haven't got the boxscore for San Jose, so I'm not sure about it. Edited June 20, 2014 by PolishKapi
VforVendetta 2,024
Welcome! Dubai is doing okay for now, there's so much promo that she's bound to sell well! Stateline is doing well without any promo. Â What about Quebec? Don't worry, if th Stadium has 40k+ it seems ful and 50K+ it seems packed already. KishiKCM 0
The boxscore is out and it's final...so there's no need to debate the numbers. Not every show from every artist is going to have the same attendance and gross. Please give it a rest. GagaMyBlood95 9,808
6 days till Milwaukee and we have no idea if it's even selling well.. I hope it is, but as some members pointed out, it's a festival date so most of the tickets will be sold on the day of the concert ;) Edited June 20, 2014 by GaGaMyBlood95
