Oh ya in that case I would have to agree. But as a Gaga stan you should know by know that good (or even decent) quality doesn't equal good sales always. Ariana's new album that so many people praise on GGD is predicted to sell only 150-170k after all.

It is. Midnight Memories debuted with 500k+ last year and went on to become the highest selling album of 2013

They will finish a tour with more than $375 million gross and they are only in their early 20's, that's huge

Humm, it's impossible actually. Half of the blocks (+ some entire blocks) in the upper level have been removed from sales. San Antonio was not sold-out, some people were pushed into the lower level.

Same happened to Estádio do Dragão, it still had 1700 tickets left.

 

 

Don't worry, it's Live Nation. They're also reporting some Gaga's shows as sold-out, they're doing that with all the big touring acts.

I personally think they should schedule two or three shows at the Nokia Arena, Tel Aviv at the top of December. It will give time for things to settle, and for people to buy tickets.

 

I'd hope that they do some form of deal or incentive, Idk, for those who have lost homes or something in the war, just something charitable

She'd piss off either side by donating. Not that many people hurt on the Israeli side, but donating to Palestine/Gaza side would cause protests and not be a good idea when performing in Israel

That's all opinion based though. I think their music is good quality, they write their own songs now and they're significantly better. I prefer their other albums but the music is good quality. What do you know about music to state if it's good quality or not? We are on a Lady Gaga forum, a woman who rhymes Money with Honey and sweet with retweet and calls it art...

For sure there is a limited number of GA tickets that are sold for each show, but more than half of the standing floor is totally empty in that picture. And the numbers prove it. 

You can't pretend like they completely sold out the venue when they had the same stage configuration as Gaga or Rih, yet they only managed about 57k per night. If the first night was sold out (which would mean about 70k people), it means that they only played for 44k people on the 2nd night.

 

But let's stop it right here.

Okay...I have absolutely nothing against 1D. They are hard workers and there has to be something about them that makes all the little girls and tweens lose their minds, because there are other boy groups who can't accomplish a tenth of what they are doing....BUT let's NOT compare the songwriting skills and overall artistry of Gaga to 1D. Come on!

But I'm so serious like compare the songwriting of most of Midnight Memories to Jewels N' Drugs, 90% of The Fame, or Telephone? Gaga is a better artist but a lot of her songs are basic. Seriously do you think "love me love me please retweet" or "I'm so fab checkout I'm blonde I'm skinny I'm rich" are groundbreaking lyrics??

Hope all the hype from the previous shows and the surprise performance with Queen pushes the last two dates to (near) sold out statuses. A great way to cap off the Aussie leg.  :popcorn:

The first Sydney show was actually nearly sold out anyway - it was the best of the bunch from when tickets went on sale.

I absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, feel that Gaga is a far superior songwriter and artist when compared to 1D. The music industry would 100% agree with this.

No one said pop music has to be groundbreaking lyrics, most of it isn't. Just stop with the negativity towards Gaga, so you can defend a boy band group.   It really is wildly off topic, anyhow!

 

Stop telling me to "just stop" when you're the one continuing a conversation. It is on topic, I wasn't the one that started to shift the topic to 1D someone else did. If you had a conversation with someone and it began to change would you just end the conversation? No. These are boards to have conversations.

And I'm sorry but the "music industry" may have given Gaga loads of awards in the past but she's not even getting nominations these days. I'm not saying Gaga isn't talented or that she isn't a good songwriter, but for all the "Na na na na na na na na"s in 1D's songs there's a lot of "Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh" and "plause plause" and "OH oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh" in Gaga's. Sure "Dope" is a better written song than "What Makes You Beautiful" but "Story of my Life" is a better written song than "Money Honey," "Eh Eh," "Starstruck," or "Jewels N' Drugs"

There's a reason 1D are currently more popular than Gaga. Their management has their **** together. Gaga will never top this tour...
