Whispering 18,865
Yes, but it's working when there's hype. Like for Miley Cyrus. Everyone was saying she was flopping in the US but everything was sold-out or almost the D day. But I mean... For Gaga, some people doesn't understand that the seats in the upper level are frequently removed because they want to sell the seats in the lower level. Like Atlanta for example. 1 600 tickets were left in total the day of the show. Somes hours before, people were claiming that it was selling so well and that only hundreds of tickets were left, but the seats at the back have been removed before... That's why everything looks like it's selling well. 10,480 tickets sold at the Philips Arena clearly shows that it wasn't sold-out. If you know what I mean There isn't anymore hype for Miley than Gaga. You try awfully hard to paint a negative picture. I'll give you the red states...even so, the venues will end up selling 85% of the seats and the fans in that area will have an opportunity to see Gaga! Why focus on the 4 or 5 US shows in red states? The other dates you mentioned were every bit of 95% plus sold out. There is hype for Gaga. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to sell 900,000 tickets on a worldwide level. It's impossible to say there is "no hype" about an artist who will end up in the top 10 tours of the year! There are hundreds of artists out there, who would LOVE to have the "little amount of hype" that Gaga has!
Rainbow Unicorn 82
There isn't anymore hype for Miley than Gaga. I agree on everything you said except that. This era, Miley had really more hype in the US than Gaga. All of her shows were selling very well in the US. She's not even a big touring act and she was already able to sell more than 15k+... Unfortunately, Europe was not there for her Gaga is global. But with promo, she would do more. (sorry, I'm again talking about promo ) Edited July 11, 2014 by Rainbow Unicorn

Why trying to discredit Miley on one show ? Miley Cyrus. Icona Pop. Sky Ferreira Montreal, Quebec - Bell Centre $1,115,660 15,100 / 15,100 Miley Cyrus. Icona Pop. Sky Ferreira Los Angeles, California - Staples Center $1,180,766 15,440 / 15,440 Miley Cyrus. Icona Pop. Sky Ferreira Dallas, Texas - American Airlines Center $911,689 14,136 / 14,136 Also, she did one sold-out date in Anaheim which is next to Los Angeles. Gaga's second LA show isn't sold-out for the moment. Not trying to discredit her too because I love her tours so so much, but Gaga is not able to reach those numbers with this era. I hope next tour... _______________________ Otherwise, 2,400 tickets left for the Dallas show :) Edited July 11, 2014 by Rainbow Unicorn

Montreal is not in the US, BTW. ;) Not trying to discredit her too because I love her tours so so much, but Gaga is not able to reach those numbers with this era. I hope next tour... Gaga reached those number and better already this era! Gaga's tour is averaging more people and a higher gross per show than Miley's! So...you don't have to "hope" for the next tour, because it is already happening! :) Edited July 12, 2014 by rarigoes

Arturo 40,746
Dallas isn't doing that bad. They added like 4 sections in the back so that won't count against her. And yes, Miley had more hype in the US for her shows than Gaga.

And yes, Miley had more hype in the US for her shows than Gaga. Miley averaged 8,425 in attendance and $603,226 at her NA shows thusfar, and Gaga has averaged 13,348 in attendance and $1,044,372 at her NA shows thusfar. How do those numbers show more hype for Miley in North America? Do you think the US numbers are significantly different?
TexasMonster 3
Dallas is looking better on ticketmaster for this tour than what it did for the BTWB and that show was still packed.

How do those numbers show more hype for Miley in North America? Do you think the US numbers are significantly different? Ok, you're right But I don't understand, because most of her shows were sold-out on ticketmaster and she managed to have big attendances in some cities ahah But Pollstar report is not clear. Miley performed in 54 cities with 54 shows. But for Gaga, it says that she played 21 shows in 15 cities. Which is false... On top of that, the average ticket on it is the average per city. For Gaga, it's 200,222/15 = 13,348, but per show it means 200,222/21 = 9,534 tickets which is clearly impossible. Pollstar probably made a mistake, it's probably 15/15 for Gaga... Because 15/21 is impossible. EDIT : Oh, I forgot Roseland shows were included... Edited July 11, 2014 by Rainbow Unicorn

ChrisX 0
No. Can you tell me how well the 2nd LA date, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas are doing please?
Arturo 40,746
Can you tell me how well the 2nd LA date, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas are doing please? 2nd L.A date is doing perfectly fine. It'll sell out. Houston doesn't have an interactive seat map but all signs point to it doing good too. San Antonio is doing pretty badly and Dallas is doing just ok. They added a bunch of seats in Dallas that weren't there before though.
