Exactly  They could do the same in Portugal as well, and here in the UK for the additional dates. Frankly, where needed, they ought to do the appropriate promotion ASAP.

There's train promo in Portugal, and the UK can sell out at least 90% by itself. They just didn't do much promo in Australia at all for some strange reason.

No, I meant that Live Nation and Ticketmaster decide how many tickets they'll put on sale, if they have the possibility to have a 100% GA like the photo I posted above, they'll. But, it depends on how the seating tickets are selling.  ;)

They decide how many GA tickets they will put on sale depending on the state and venue regulations, not according to how the tickets are selling. Once the stage plans were set, other GA tickets could be released- both when exact dimensions were known and once the stage is actually physically set in place. That's why we see GA tickets released at different times.

Every artist has last minute tickets the day before or the day of the concert. That's the best way to get good seats for "sold out" shows!

Portugal seems to be selling slow  I mean for the UK more like just posters as in Berlin (see the thread by Chica and myself :) ). Australia is just baffling to be honest, why they aren't doing any promo at all this era is beyond me. Nor have they considered New Zealand :smh:

lol teenage girls and gay boys.... ;)

haha yep.  I dislike stadiums shows though.  They aren't intimate at all.  And the performer really only sings to the people within 200 ft of them...

This is their peak tour-wise though, they're going to become ugly (all these tattoos :eww: ) and teenage girls (and moms too :spin: ) will dislike them. Then it's time for Austin Mahone to take over!

Or that new band that performed on the BBAs.

5SOS? They're already quite big and almost every 1D fan is a 5SOS fan because 5SOS opened for 1D, but I just don't see them becoming really big (for now)...

Yeah I feel the same about stadium shows. I mean great for the artist coz if they can sell lots of tickets then they make lots of money, but ****ty for the people actually going to the show. I mean you pay all that money to watch a screen....could have done that on my laptop for free. lol

Yea exactly.  I sometimes wish Gaga would go back and do some theater shows.  I actually really hope that she does that again... haha The venue would match her theatricality plus the intimate feel.

Flawless

There was one comp on the radio when the tour got announced "Haha for Gaga" where the callers had to tell a joke and if the presenter thought it was funny they got tix :fail: but that went on for like a week then there has been nothing about the shows at all. I guess coz then Katy announced her shows and well....they just kept selling out. :noparty:

How people has turned against Gaga so fast. she sold out a lot of dates in 2012 in australia. It's unbelievable.

the scars on my mind are on replay.

That would be awesome, but of course then you know the haters would say she's done because she's playing small venues etc etc....

I really don't understand. She was so hugely popular here from the start and now it's just like everyone forgot or something. :(

Very strange reason since Australia is like a big music market (almost as big as UK tbh)... A mistake, big mistake..

The reason for GA looking so empty may be because of the stage. & I hope Gaga uses that gap in between June to perform at the Much Music Awards

It's not almost as big as the UK.

Far from it.

It's almost as big as Canada.

Considering the population it's pretty big. ;)

Australia is probably like the third biggest touring market, though..

Anything is better than Lady Starlight.. But I would prefer Zedd or Madeon

I don't think Zedd will be opening for Gaga anymore because he is 'somebody' now

And yeah, anything is better than Lady Starlight. I would LOVE Conchita Wurst opening for Gaga. She's talented and has broken boundaries, and ARTPOP is about that  :legend:

I'm still holding out on this theory too. Katy may have more dates, but her tickets are mega cheap, almost insultingly cheap. That's the only reason why she's had so much demand for second shows. And even so, I've heard that her second UK dates are struggling. And this is for an album that sold more than ARTPOP and had a #1 and a top 10 single. I doubt she'll go to Africa and South America, so the only regions left for her to add are Asia and continential Europe. She may have more demand in Asia this time, but it won't be of stadium level. Taylor Swift had a breakthrough in Asia but she's only doing one arena per country and I'm sure it'll be the same for Katy. Even at her peak, she had basically no tour demand in Asia and her only big hit there this era has been Roar and the album sales weren't huge, so I don't know if one hit single is enough to translate into ticket sales. And as for continental Europe, well, let's just say that Gaga's leg will absolutely SLAY Katy's. Katy has never been big in continental Europe and she still isn't. Her leg for her last tour was absolutely pathetic, 13 dates in 8 countries at miniscule venues and she couldn't even sell those out, with audiences as low at 4,008 and with grosses as low as $177,640. It'll be really interesting to see how the continental Europe market is going to be handled this time. Because it'll just be embarrasing for her to do such tiny venues for such tiny crowds even though she's got a bigger hit catalogue than last time.

:applause:  If Gaga tours in 2015, the ARTPOP Ball will have more gross. That's for sure.

Katy is on her peak and those numbers are poor  :manicure:

Cleveland crowd.

****ing full  :excited2:

I still don't understand why they don't put more GA tickets because it seems like it's 1/3 empty and the floor was sold-out...

smh  :dead:  I won't understand it. EVER.

There is SO MUCH demand for One Direction tickets all over Europe.

That's true.

The teen girls who attent these kind of shows go with her parents, so that's twice the number of real fans
